  1. Really? Yeah Beane has always been a bean counter. One of the reasons I believe McDermott runs the show.
  2. Basically McDermott fired Monos and Whaley. He doesn’t hold a grudge or anything.
  3. Didn’t they trade up for Elam, Kincaid, and Ford?
  4. Criticism is fair. Elam, Kincaid, Coleman, Basham is bad. Coleman’s ceiling is so low.
  5. I’m interested but I want a say in the QB.
  6. Yeah. Originally I think it wasn’t fully enclosed. Thank goodness they changed that. Fully enclosed will seriously lower the wind impact.
  7. Not sure what you’re asking. The entire field is uncovered plus about 35% of the stands. But the entire stadium is fully enclosed.
  8. Pay no attention to the business side of it. Fans only look at one side. As soon as Cook can’t play at a top level we’re ready to cut him. But when he wants more money and tries to put pressure on the team we get upset. Its all business.
  9. I think this player has to be a non QB starter. Im going with the “Punt Catcher” Chris Watson. Eddie Robinson was a close second because I’ll never get the image of him getting his ankles broken by Chad Pennington out of my head.
  10. They’re taking a couple for sure. This would also help make trading for top veteran DL more realistic. The teams trading those players can get multiple assets back and draft their replacement at a cheaper cost.
  11. Their logic is having Josh Allen should guarantee the Bills go to the Super Bowl. Having Allen doesn’t guarantee anything. I don’t think people understand this. As I pointed out to someone comparing Allen and Marino. Marino went as a rookie but then spent almost all of his prime years missing the playoffs. Peyton Manning went 6-10 in his prime. Matthew Stafford barely sniffed the playoffs. John Elway 5-11 in his prime. Manning, Elway, and Stafford won with different coaches but it’s not guaranteed, we could get worse. We’re not firing McDermott for losing to the Chiefs. They would fire him if he has a losing season or misses the playoffs. They might fire him for losing in the wildcard game. They might fire him if they get blown out in the playoffs again like vs the Bengals. I understand 13 seconds happened and the defense has failed vs the Chiefs and Bengals. I actually think the conversation should be about hiring a successful defensive coordinator. McDermott is the head coach. He has built a good program here in Buffalo. He is the leader we need. I believe that. There’s nothing wrong with him going out and hiring a top defensive coordinator.
  12. Shouldn’t happen. The most confusing part is when I would bring up Belichick I would get dislikes. I don’t actually know if the fire McDermott people know what they want.
  13. I still can’t believe this is real. Lost by 3 in the AFC Championship game and there’s a fire the coach thread.
  14. New ideas. New energy. That was kind of the message with Joe Brady last year.
  15. I don’t understand why fans get so emotional when it comes to contract disputes. I really don’t care about these things until training camp breaks.
  16. Having a good idea and knowing are very different things. If the cap is $5 million higher next year than projected don’t you think that might change a lot? I actually doubt the Bills have begun negotiations with Cook.
  17. Have they even had discussions yet? Beane doesn’t even know the cap yet. How could he possibly begin to negotiate.
  18. There is another narrative building. 13 seconds happened. But since then Josh Allen had a terrible game vs Cincinnati and had the ball last failing to take the lead vs KC twice. Thats 3 straight years. So yeah, the defense isn’t good enough, but that’s not the only story.
  19. So what’s the compensation? Also, is Ty Johnson and Ray Davis good enough?
  20. I wonder if the Bills could’ve traded out of the 1st that year. It also doesn’t help that we changed offenses. Kincaid was supposed to play that Beasley role in the Daboll/Dorsey offense. That was a bad pick. I bet they wish they had that one back.
  21. Beane should probably do less interviews this offseason. Just saying.
  22. I think the closest thing is Ryan Nielsen was a player in Philadelphia when McDermott was a coach there.
  23. All the defensive hires. There’s been 3 defensive hires and a special teams hire. All experienced coaches.
