  1. Like Tre after his first injury, Milano took time to get going. By the end of the year he was better but not back yet. I fully expect him to be back by the start of next year. I also don’t think trading Milano gets us anything. This will be an interesting decision though. I don’t think they will move on this year. Likelihood with Bernard and Milano is Williams will play significant snaps.
  2. Pick a year? Always bitter. These 2 write this article every year. 😂
  3. I get why agents have their clients use social media to negotiate but it just seems like a terrible idea. It gets headlines. Puts some media pressure on the team. Typically all the players could do is hold out but that’s too late. I just feel like it turns fans against the players. Fans always react poorly to this stuff. I don’t understand why. There is never anything personal about it. Like I said before, fans are quick to cut a player underperforming but if a player wants to get more money and uses the only power they have, we get mad.
  4. As Doug Whaley said after drafting EJ Manuel: “If I miss on this pick I’ll be sitting at home with you guys”
  5. Yes. And Belichick has lost to Mark Sanchez and Ryan Tannehill in the playoffs. Andy Reid lost to some bad QBs in the playoffs. McDermott doesn’t have those losses yet with Allen as QB. That stuff should matter.
  6. It’ll be interesting to see. There’s a long way down the mountain we’re climbing. I don’t think people understand that. Even the great Belichick was 1 and done 3 times with Tom Brady. What McDermott is doing is not easy. 5 straight years with a playoff win is not easy. I would rather stick with the guy that’s 2-3 plays from a Super Bowl.
  7. Forget McDermott. You fired him. Year 1 the new guy goes 11-6 but loses the division. Then loses a wild card game. What are you doing? This is a real possibility.
  8. Was that part of the criteria? I don’t know.
  9. I have a question. If they fire MCdermott and the Bills don’t advance past the AFC Championship game, what happens next? Does the next coach get as long as McDermott or are we talking about having to win now or get fired?
  10. If the guys responsible for drafting Josh Allen didn’t draft Josh Allen… 😂
  11. He’s allowed to criticize. He’s a fan just like us.
  12. All it takes is 1 and he’s wearing a gold jacket.
  13. Yeah. There’s a video somewhere where Beane says McDermott started trusting him and his staff more and more. I wish I could find it. McDermott ran the show for years.
  14. Who do you think signed Poyer and Hyde? Drafted Tre White, Matt Milano, and Dion Dawkins? Beane was hired after.
  15. Only 4? I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face, Sean McDermott will have to go backwards. Your example is perfect. Fox made the Super Bowl but then got upset at home in the playoffs. Thats the type of thing that would get McDermott fired at this point.
  16. I think it was simply we didn’t want a slow WR that couldn’t run routes in college.
  17. The Bills will definitely have to go against the norm, even Josh Allen. Not many QBs win their 1st Super Bowl this late in their career.
  18. Thats a tough question because I know Keon Coleman was basically the WR many fans didn’t want anywhere in the draft.
  19. Now look up how many coaches have won 5 straight division titles and were fired.
  20. One thing about Whaley and Monos was they went after big fish in the draft and in the pros. But if he said that to me I would’ve said but you drafted 4.3 Sammy Watkins over Mike Evans?
  21. I was hoping Schoen came back this year. Guess we’ll wait until he’s fired next year.
  22. Beane has a good team around him. It has been weakened some over the years as other teams take some of his guys. And let’s not forget when McDermott was hired he was given the same power as a coach like Andy Reid. McDermott actually stepped back some a few years ago in the personnel department.
  23. He has a good management team around him, which he built. Beane has the most important job though. We dismiss leadership and structure. Both Beane and McDermott bring the leadership and structure to their jobs. You’re a good talent evaluator, so are many others on this board. But running a front office? A team? Just a different animal. It’s why I defend McDermott. We don’t give him enough credit for building the Bills into a successful franchise again. But criticism is fair. They’ve made plenty of mistakes.
