  1. We’ll get some prime time leaks todays.
  2. He might want to wait until the cap settle down a little. It might be $300 million in a few years. He’s already set for life.
  3. You don’t understand how depth works I see. Ok. I’ll play along. What is your solution for an experienced WR4 with size and speed that cost 2 million? Lets see if they suck or not.
  4. He has drops that are memorable but he also has catches that are memorable.
  5. He’s not replacing Davis. He’s depth. Cheap depth, if he makes the team. We can’t go back in time to the draft and take a 2nd WR. I would love to trade for someone cheap and young for the 4th spot.
  6. Yes the bar should be low. He’s a WR4 at best here.
  7. He’s made plays in multiple playoff games also.
  8. So? He’s experienced depth. People here wanted OBJ and DJ Chark as our experienced depth. Completely unrealistic. People are talking about this guy like he’s not an upgrade over Trent Sherfield.
  9. He’s very good at getting behind the defense.
  10. He also has made big plays in the playoffs.
  11. And he leads the league in depth of target. Davis was also near the top. More difficult targets.
  12. He was the Chiefs starter outside for most of his time there. They replaced him with Hollywood Brown. That’s a significant upgrade. He’d be coming here as a depth player and insurance for our young WRs. There’s a big difference. And he made plays for the Chiefs to win in the playoffs. Let’s say he replaces Trent Sherfield. Is that not an upgrade?
  13. Yeah this wouldn’t change much of anything.
  14. You can’t figure that out? The ball is harder to complete the deeper the depth of target. Curtis Samuel caught 68%, but his average target depth is 6 yards.
  15. Depth of target matters IMO. He’s always near the top. He basically averages 17-18 yards depth of target. Gabe Davis is also usually pretty high. This guy is a pure deep threat. That’s all.
  16. There was a time I called Gabe Davis our Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
  17. He’s competing for 4th WR here and gives some veteran insurance for Coleman. He’s exactly the type of WR you sign that won’t block a young player from snaps, but can fill in if the young player can’t handle it.
  18. The % does seem to go up slightly every year for QBs. I wonder when it stops? Maybe it stopped with Allen’s deal? He got 24% and Burrow got 24% 2 years later. No one has topped that yet.
  19. There’s always shock value every year because worse players get paid more than the top players. But it’s always based on cap %. Burrow got 24%. Goff got 21%. When Mahomes signed his $45 million AAV deal he got 23%. So Burrow did get a little more. When Allen signed his deal he got 24%, but the cap was low due to covid. Allen would’ve got more. If Allen signed a deal today he probably gets $61 million AAV.
  20. Yeah I’ve been seeing people celebrating Josh’s contract. He’s going to get more than everyone. Probably over $60 million when it’s all done.
  21. The cap is going up like crazy so contracts are going up. Cap is projected to jump again. Elite QBs will get about 20% of the cap.
  22. I’m not joking. Tough schedule, roster in transition. 7-10 season. Future Buffalo Bill Tetairoa McMillan.
