Adding Moss for almost nothing to a Super Bowl roster wasn’t really fair. But they didn’t win a Super Bowl with Moss.
It’s never bad to have great WRs.
lol I didn’t even see this thread. I made a comment about the 2015 Panthers today.
The most dominant franchise since 2000 also undervalued WR, NE Patriots.
Anyone ever look at the WRs for Beane and McDermott’s Carolina Panthers Super Bowl team in 2015. TE Greg Olsen lead them in receptions by a large margin.
We all want good wideouts. I just find it fascinating that the Bills added so many WR’s Bills fans disliked, and while doing so they traded away Diggs.
WR1’s become WR1’s with opportunity. Same as WR2’s and WR3’s.
Yes there’s projections but opportunity is what creates a WR1. Not a draft profile.
These players will get targets, let’s see what they do with their opportunity. I’ve seen many different levels of WR become a number 1 target because they got the opportunity.
Besides Chase and Evans, top 10 picks, all of these players developed into that guy.
There is a process. You don’t want the process. You want it now. Shakir, Samuel, and Kincaid all have the ability to break out next year.
Best way to view a signing in free agency is to look at alternatives. List them out. Compare costs. Then decide if you like the signing or not.
Or you can just react irrationally.
I don’t think this season is a win now mode roster construction wise. It’s not a win now roster. It’s more of a let’s see what happens roster.
They’re definitely going with a cap reset year in 2024.
We can’t go back and change their top 3 WRs. They have chosen Samuel, Shakir, and Coleman.
OBJ wasn’t coming here to sit behind them. There is a huge difference. They aren’t looking for an older veteran to come in and start over their younger players. They want someone behind those players with starting experience but won’t block their snaps.
