Add in Vernon Butler and Jefferson in 2020 and it was $34 million in cap space to average or below average players on a team 1 game from the Super Bowl.

Most Bills fans would take a championship in 2022 over 10 years of playoffs without a championship. I'm pretty sure they'd even agree to a championship in 2022 even if it meant 10 losing seasons after.

I don't think it'll be that much, but look into the future. The Bills don't have anchor contracts. They also don't have much investment in the defense long-term other than White and Milano. Those contracts aren't exactly huge either.

Actually Lawson isn't going to cost anything. They probably sign both. They aren't going to draft 1 high. But they want a veteran or 2.
