You need the pass rush. That’s what Von was supposed to bring. It’s really unfortunate that we lost him. He was basically the only improvement to the defense over multiple. I wouldn’t say overly safe. It was a zero blitz, something we don’t do often.

The defense works vs 90% of the league. It’s the top teams where it doesn’t work.

We’ve been building off coverage DBs until last season when we drafted Elam and Benford. So maybe they knew a shift was coming. That’s why the call was bad. They have to know their matchup. Tre White is missing that tackle 10/10 times.

Burrow throws it 2 yards. The play actually had Burrow do exactly what they wanted.

Covid changed it but last year there were all kinds of rumors about fights and arguments after the Chiefs loss.

One thing I will say is sometimes DBs have a choice on a play to play tight or off. Our DBs typically choose to play off.

No that’s what Miami did on 3rd and 15. I definitely wouldn’t do a zero on 3rd and 15. This call is supposed to create a quick throw short of the sticks. It did. Tre White was supposed to react quicker and make the tackle. He not only reacts slow but he misses the tackle. Im not a fan of the call simply because I don’t think we tackle well as a defense plus poor footing. I would rather make the offense throw a tighter throw.

You play off to force the short throw. Tre White hesitated. He needs to attack immediately. Plus he still misses the tackle. We aren’t a zero blitz defense. I don’t remember us calling this very much during the season.

It’s called a ZERO BLITZ! The DBs are supposed to attack the short throw and make the tackle short of the sticks. It was poorly executed by Tre White. My problem with the call is the poor footing. It’s hard to plant and make that play on Chase.

And White reacted slow and missed the tackle. Our best CB. Let’s not let him off the hook.

He was good with Von, without Von he couldn’t hack it. So far it looks like he’s a sidekick.

I’m pretty sure Tre executed this play poorly plus he missed the tackle. That said it’s a bad play call. Make them work for it is how I like to play defense. I don’t particularly like our soft zone approach to everything.

I’m guessing here but the plan was likely to force a quick throw and come make the tackle. It was a terrible plan and terrible execution. Plus Tre White still missed the tackle. 😂 It’s not all on coaches.

Daniel Jones had 15 TDs in 16 games. The health of Saquon Barkley carried that offense. Josh Allen was injured, let’s just start there . The redzone offense started slow and became one of the best by the end of the season. The run game improved as the season went on. I don’t think the weapons were as good as we thought they’d be. Dorsey being a first year OC as well. There’s going to be learning. You don’t fire that guy. Not after 1 season. You make the needed roster changes and build on last year.

McDermott timer doesn’t even begin until he misses the playoffs.

Possibly. I’m a big Daboll supporter. This board hated Daboll until Allen got hot last year. I defended Daboll and his system. Dorsey has been here working under Daboll. There’s a lot of the same with Dorsey. Daboll obviously a more experienced play caller.
