Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...
Buffalo_Stampede replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean we’re still a top 3 team in the AFC until proven otherwise. What’s the surprise? -
Position coaches like stability. He probably thought there was more stability in Jacksonville. Which tells me the offensive staff has been put on notice.
-
This one is interesting. Could be problems in Buffalo.
-
Carroll deserved just as much as Daboll. But I think the award always goes to the coach of the biggest surprise team or the coach of a team that dominates the league. Daboll and Carrol are probably the biggest surprises last year. Pederson also but Trevor Lawrence was supposed to be in the playoffs at some point.

Khalil Shakir / answer for WR 2 / Makes Sports Illustrated
Buffalo_Stampede replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir will have to earn it. He’s an average WR physically. He has talent but he’ll start as a 4th option next year unless he has an outstanding offseason. Knox is an elite talent at TE. Still improving as a route runner. He should be used like a top 5 TE. Those guys get 100+ targets. -
McDermott coaching tree looking good so far. Andy Reid coaching tree still the best.

How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
Buffalo_Stampede replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Defensive line is healthy heading into the playoffs. Allen gets hot again. -
Khalil Shakir / answer for WR 2 / Makes Sports Illustrated
Buffalo_Stampede replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Dawson Knox is the answer for WR2. Gabe Davis is fine in his role. I think his targets should drop slightly. Knox should be closer to 100 targets. Basically just flip Knox and Davis in target share. Diggs 150 Knox 100 Davis 65 Shakir/Rookie/UFA/Trade 65 -
What exactly is his role on defense? He was promoted to Passing Game Coordinator in 2022. Does that mean he’s responsible for calling the coverages?

There is definitely a possibility Frazier retires. -
Beane’s “trade” his real mistake
Buffalo_Stampede replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von is a freak. If anyone can be a productive pass rusher in his late 30’s it’s Von Miller. Im just very frustrated with how it played out. We needed him so bad. Went out and got him in free agency. Then the injury. So frustrating. I wish they found a way to keep Hughes and still bring on Miller. -
Beane’s “trade” his real mistake
Buffalo_Stampede replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane’s biggest mistake was not trading for Von Miller at the deadline in 2021. Especially knowing how little our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks contributed as rookies. I know it’s eating him up. We win the Super Bowl with Von Miller in 2021. -
The Bengals before they played Buffalo said they’re good but they ain’t the Ravens LBs. Maybe we should listen to them but it will be hard for Beane to let Edmunds walk.
-
You know how we say build up the OL to help Josh Allen? Same goes for Tremaine Edmunds and the DL. We saw what a NT like DaQuan Jones did for Edmunds this season. With all due respect to Jones he’s just an above average DT. Edmunds needs help as well. Get another stout DT like Jones and Edmunds will get even better. Saffold they must move on. I would take Saffold in a depth role cheap but I doubt he goes for that.
-
Probably to see where the cap was heading.
-
I think the might have to top or equal Smith if they go 7 years. It can be structured in a way that benefits the Bills as well.
-
If you are going to sign Edmunds then giving him a really long contract possibly as the highest paid per year ILB makes sense for cap reasons. 7-8 year deal with a lot of cap pushed back. 7 years $140 million. Build in outs. Keep cap low early in the contract.
-
Can he play tackle better than Spencer Brown though.

Frazier: The hard FACTS on why many of us want a change.
Buffalo_Stampede replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why is it so hard for people to say Chiefs and Bengals? I think I know why. Because reality is if your expectations of our DC is stop Mahomes and Burrow then they will likely fail to reach expectations. When we do finally beat these teams in the playoffs I’m expecting it to be the offense that wins it, not the defense. I think the fear is even if the offense wins it the defensive coaches can still mess it up, 13 seconds. So understandable. I can promise that if another failure like 13 seconds happens again there will be coaches losing jobs. -
New DC assistant hired / Carolina ReTread
Buffalo_Stampede replied to balln's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, when we hired McDermott all the talk was about Carolina’s LBs. This is the guy that coached the best unit in football Keuchley, Davis, Klein, and Thompson. He didn’t do much as a DC though. Holcomb could be a sign they’re going with a young LB group next year and need his help developing and preparing a young group. -

They now have 5 DC’s on the staff. McDermott, Frazier, Washington, Butler, and Holcomb. Carolina LB Shaq Thompson a likely release In Carolina. Could be Edmunds short-term replacement. -
