It’s about personnel matching. Our defense was never very physical upfront with our LBs. Depends a lot on DB tackling. It works. Sometimes we do get run over but it’s rare that we lose because of it.
More teams running mostly 11 personnel it makes sense to defend the pass first and worry about the run later.
Why do you want big bodies out there vs 3 WRs and a pass catching TE?
We’re not upgrading any of them this year. Key word is upgrade. No one we draft is starting over any of the players mentioned. The only possibility is Spencer Brown.
And we don’t have a lot of holes to fill. Minus MLB we’re deeper than we were last season as the Super Bowl favorites.
I’ve changed how I view ILB. I don’t want the size to take on linemen I want length for coverage.
Henley has 33 inch arms, which are the longest of the top LBs.
I don’t see so many roster spots needing improvement?
MLB and OT are starting positions they must improve in the draft.
Depth wise they could probably draft any position.
I wasn’t sold but I understood that the Bills needed to find out if he can be a WR2 before drafting his replacement. He did earn those snaps he got last year. You typically don’t draft slot only WRs high in the draft. So spending a 1st is technically replacing Davis.
