  1. I don’t think it’ll happen because it’ll only hurt veteran players, which is why they changed rookie contracts in the first place. There is no fix. QBs and WRs have taken the RBs money. This isn’t going to change.
  2. Another one. Gurley only 23 years old when he got paid. So it’s not about age. It’s about the position. The Rams are a great example. They have struggled to replace Gurley but they still won a Super Bowl with his replacements. They had a RB by committee that year.
  3. Zeke was only 23-24 years old when he signed that deal. As I said earlier some RBs will get a big deal if they had shorter rookie contracts, probably less than 5, but teams will still be able to find cheaper options. Tony Pollard has been the better option for the Cowboys the last couple years and he was a much cheaper option. Problem for Pollard is now he’s getting too expensive and will be replaced soon.
  4. It’s not just about aging RB’s, it’s about the quantity of RB’s. RB is the easiest position to find a replacement. I actually don’t know what the solution would be. For regular people it works the same way. You get paid based on how many people can do your job equally as well. Cashiers at Walmart get paid a low wage because there are millions of people that can do the job. I don’t know if anything can help RB’s because the NFL is all about passing now. If they had shorter deals I think some RBs would get paid but the majority of them still would be replaced with cheaper options. I think teams will just avoid drafting RBs all together if they become too expensive. You don’t win Championships when your RB is the the focus of the offense. RBs will end up like FB’s soon enough.
  5. Break down the redzone stats further. Did they improve? Maybe break down the season in quarters. I have stats that show them improved to an elite red zone offense the last 6 games of the year. They ranked 23rd overall in redzone TD% after week 11. By the end of the season they climbed back up to 9th overall in redzone TD%. A lot of the time it’s about opponents also. They played below average redzone defenses those final 6 games, NE2x, Miami, Detroit, and Chicago. When their redzone offense was below average they faced 7 redzone defenses in the top half of the league. So I guess we could argue that they only improved because they played below average redzone defenses. I think it all averaged out over the season. I don’t believe it was all Dorsey though. A lot of the redzone mistake were on Josh Allen. He made some terrible decisions and poorly thrown balls.
  6. What’s laughable about the Dorsey criticism is most of the criticism lines up with the Allen injury. Whats even worse is most of the people criticizing Dorsey also believe WR and OL lack talent. To me OC’s make their money in the redzone. They struggled in the redzone the first couple months of the season, mostly due to Allen’s struggles. Well they were really bad actually in the middle of the season. But were back to elite in the redzone by the end of the regular season. It’s why I have no worries about Dorsey. He did that with terrible WR and OL play.
  7. Good thing is OL and protections can scheme up to help out 1 problem. But last year we had 2 players getting walked at the same time. Saffold and Brown. Brown at least has some upside.
  8. Cooks potential is chunk plays. He’s an explosive athlete. We haven’t had those types of athletes on offense. His touches should double.
  9. We’ll see about playmakers. We have Kincaid and Cook, 1st and 2nd round playmakers put into big roles this year. Depending on what you think about Kincaid as a slot WR they did improve the talent. Gabe Davis is the elephant in the room. They seem to love him.
  10. Gabe Davis got in the way. Wait until they sign Davis for similar money.
  11. If you want something you’re willing to pay for it.
  12. Titans, like we all predicted at the start.
  13. I thought Bates was really good the 2nd half of last year. Bates is extremely underrated. He’s our future center.
  14. Bates is starting quality without a doubt.
  15. Our OL improvements depends on RT and LG.
  16. We hate our coaches so much but that’s because we’re basically only rating them on an elite scale. Compared to the rest of the league our coaching staff is very good. If we had to watch every offensive and defensive snap for every team we would appreciate our coaches more. Dorsey is also a difficult grade because of the Allen injury. A lot of the offense was thrown out due to the pain Allen played with.
  17. I have him in the 12-15 range WR2. There’s only about 12 WR2’s I would definitely swap out for Gabe.
  18. Where would Gabe Davis ranked for WR2?
  19. I like white helmets. They are the original.
  20. Isn’t that a Shanahan failure?
  21. I agree with that today, but obviously the Bills disagree.
  22. What’s interesting here is we give Andy Reid so much credit, rightfully so. But in that moment Mahomes and Kelce changed the route on their own. I still feel like the players needed to be smarter in that situation.
  23. A lot of ways to look at it but Shanahan hand picked 2 QBs.
