Bills had interest in Kirksey a couple years ago.

They’ll add more rest for players. More importantly more money. Rest won’t just be an extra bye but less offseason workouts, OTAs, and mini camps.

We knew everything about Kyle Allen before signing him as a backup! Fans take preseason too seriously. If there’s a proven veteran upgrade then bring in the upgrade.

You’re missing the whole point, I already know that. Most backups are trash, unknowns, former starters turned expensive backup. To sit here and argue for the Bills to cut Kyle Allen for PJ Walker though is comical. I originally thought you were arguing for Keenum. Oh my goodness.

PJ Walker! 😂 He has 18 carries for 50 yards. Kyle Allen averages more yards per carry. If the Bills bring in Walker don’t hide if he starts. He’s absolutely garbage.

As someone who rostered DJ Moore in fantasy multiple seasons, PJ Walker is absolute trash. He’s had 1 decent passing game and that included a 60 yard Hail Mary. Hes not even a better runner than Kyle Allen. I don’t even understand how this is the option you came up with?

I definitely wouldn’t trade Elam unless it’s for a similarly young talented player playing a position of need. I have zero issues with Elam when he plays. I would start him now.

Benford is a better fit for what the Bills do. Elam was drafted for his press man abilities. They don’t play press man though.

And Elam had a great game vs Baltimore as a rookie.

Saw a Ravens guy on Twitter pushing for an Elam to the Ravens trade for a LB. The Elam family has ties to the Ravens. Seems to think they would want Elam.

Kyle Allen backing up Josh Allen has been talked about for years on this board. If Kyle Allen starts the Bills become a ball control run based offense. He’s not going to be throwing all over.

I think we’re heading to no preseason games very shortly. It’s how the league will grow revenue. 20 week seasons. 18 games, 2 byes on the way.

Is this how you always felt or just based on preseason? The Bills signed him months ago to backup. The regular season is a different animal for many reasons. The Bills will run an offense to fit Kyle. Right now there’s no game planing. I don’t think anyone we get will be much better unless they are experienced starters. I would take Keenum over Kyle Allen if possible. I’m not stressing over it though.

You just want anyone different. Remember we didn’t particularly like Keenum last year in camp and preseason either. They signed Kyle Allen to backup. What exactly has changed? His previous starting game film hasn’t changed.

Rather invest in better start OL and depth OL then pay a good backup QB.

If Josh goes down we’re done. Josh isn’t going to sit with some minor injuries. So if he’s out it’s likely months. We’re done.

Who cares who the backup QB is. If Allen is out a significant amount of time it’s draft talk time.

I just got NFL+ so I will be be watching the OL closely with no more Bills for a couple weeks. I’m a big Bates supporter. With OL unless you stand out I feel you’re doing your job. I never complain about Bates while watching.

Morse and Torrence had poor games in pass protection. Morse doesn’t look his particularly average self this preseason. A little concerning. I’m predicting Bates is the starting center pretty early this season. Maybe Morse has an injury he’s dealing with.
