[QUESTION] Your Opinion On This Team Will Change Tonight If:

Around the NFL - Week 10 - Sunday, November 12th

One issue the Bills face is they get every teams best game. The Bills aren’t always their best. Teams get up for the Bills. Jets Jags, and Patriots celebrated like it was the Super Bowl. Bengals act disrespected whenever they play the Bills. -
The defensive additions at the deadline hopefully help because they have 5 of the top 10 offenses coming up.

Stuck in the mud = Coaching & Lack of Talent

Ravens had a ton of injuries to start the year. Only difference is those guys came back. Bills are definitely hit probably the worst of the winning teams. Even Allen is playing hurt. -

QBs are going to forever be the key to any successful head coach. McDermott does have a thing for veterans but im not sure you can say he’s terrified of younger players? I don’t know know what you’re actually using as a reference here. Should Hamlin and Rapp be starting over Poyer and Hyde? Maybe Epenesa is the argument but Floyd has been great. The only young player that’s not playing is Elam and he was behind other young players. Maybe I’m missing something. -

I mean, the last time we saw a healthier Bills team they tore apart Miami. But injuries are part of it so let’s see how they adjust. I’m not optimistic though. -

To be honest this is actually a great moment in the McDermott era. How does he get his team to respond to the struggles and criticism? We did kind of see it in 2021 and they went crazy on teams until 13 seconds. Big difference is the schedule is killer. If McDermott makes the playoffs this year he deserves coach of the year. But they aren’t making the playoffs in my opinion. I don’t think he can turn this around. In fact I think it gets worse. -
Meanwhile, over in Jests land...

Am I crazy to think Aaron Rodgers is playing mind tricks with the Jets? Telling them to keep playing Wilson so Rodgers can be the hero when he returns? -

Not really, especially the last 2 seasons with the injuries. Things will play out with McDermott. But people are just insane right now. -

Belichick hasn’t won a playoff game in 5 years. He has a losing record over his last 4 years. He deserved to get fired a couple years ago. McDermott has won a playoff game 3 straight years. You know how many coaches have won a playoff game 3 straight years? Andy Reid, end of list. Thats why I don’t fire Sean McDermott. I can be critical of him, he definitely makes mistakes. Yes he has Josh Allen, but Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes aren’t the only franchise QBs in the NFL. I’ve maintained that there will be a discussion to be had on McDermott whenever he misses the playoffs or gets eliminated without advancing in the playoffs. Honestly this is a pretty dumb conversation RIGHT NOW. The level of expectation is ridiculous. Things will eventually play themselves out. McDermott likely won’t win a playoff game every season. -
I blame Hailee. Yes you.

That was collectively their worst game as a unit in a while. Out coached upfront. A lot of confusion. Torrence has been trending down though at least from what I see. You’d like to see the opposite from a rookie. -

If I were a DC facing the Bills offense I wouldn’t be afraid of anyone, including Diggs. The reason I say Diggs is because I would just have a safety over top of him all game. There’s nothing else to worry about. Thats why hopefully the Kincaid connection grows. Kincaid could literally have 10 catches every game. And he should until they stop it. -

What’s funny is analytics told us not to draft Josh Allen. Now analytics is telling us not to fire Ken Dorsey. The comment by Allen that he runs the plays that are called was the beginning of the end for Ken Dorsey. First time I ever heard Josh Allen deflect blame. -

The one thing I have noticed just using the eye test is it seems like Allen is only using half the field most of the time. High low reads or low high reads to half the field. Very rookie QB stuff. This video supports that. -
True. Promote Dorsey to head coach like the Broncos did with Kubiak.
-
Matt Ryan is another one and he actually did make a Super Bowl after a coaching change. Should’ve won.

Torrence hasn’t been playing well. Not saying bench the rookie but he’s not improving. -
Tua, Cousins, and Hurts? What are we even doing here? Kirk Cousins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurts and Tua weren’t even considered the future of their respective teams when their coaches were fired. And if you’re answering Kirk Cousins then you should rethink your position.
-
The best idea is if the offense doesn’t improve the rest of season you go hire the best OC available that fits the modern game. We hope that guy one day will be McDermott’s replacement if McDermott doesn’t get to a Super Bowl.
-
None of this even fits what I said. McDermott built a winning franchise. He helped develop a franchise QB. Hurts and Tua were on losing teams and not developed yet. The QBs you need to look at are Mathew Stafford in Detroit, Philip Rivers in San Diego, and Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Rodgers is probably the best example but they never made it to the Super Bowl with LeFluer. John Elway won a Super Bowl going from Fox to Kubiak but that was a promotion from within which no one wants.
