  1. Yeah. Kind of reminds me of when the Bills had the chance to get Von Miller the 13 second year but didn’t. Only to go offer a crazy contract in the offseason. You could add OBJ to that as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills make a splash move at WR, even though Beane says no splash. The splash might not be money but draft picks traded to move up.
  2. I do think they want Gabe Davis back at the right price. I don’t think it prevents the Bills from drafting a WR in the 1st. Gabe is a true outside WR2/3. The Bills are in the market for a future WR1 and a true WR2/3.
  3. That’s why Samuel is my free agent target. He can be on the field with Diggs, rookie, Shakir, and Kincaid and scare the crap out of opposing defenses. Im just being conservative with the rookie expectations next year. But yes, they should be starting.
  4. They shouldn’t rely on a late 1st round rookie. I know it’s a deep class and the 7th WR drafted is probably as good as any WR drafted in the first last season but I would still add. That’s why I like Curtis Samuel because he can play every position and won’t block a rookie X or z WR for playing time.
  5. Hard part for a rookie WR is route running and learning a new playbook. Route running is key because a lot of these WRs in college don’t run many routes. Also understanding coverages. The announcers pointed out a great play by Rice for the Chiefs where he sat down on a zone rather than taking it up field. Said earlier in the year he doesn’t read that coverage.
  6. Overpaying? Not sure what you mean? There’s examples every year of WR2’s making impacts. I think you mean overpaying for WR1 in UFA. I mean I can name 2 Bills related players off the top of my head. Beasley was a good signing coming here and Robert Woods was a great signing by LA.
  7. Sherfield and Harty were dart throws. Think more Beasley and John Brown. Crowder had the injuries, but that was his career.
  8. I think allowing our young WR to develop is also key. Shakir is ready for a breakout next year but we shouldn’t depend on that. Sign a tier 2 WR2. Starts next year with… WR1 Diggs WR2 UFA WR3 Shakir WR4 Rookie 1st round pick WR5 Shorter WR6 Rookie mid round round pick
  9. My top 2nd tier WR2 targets are Samuel and Mooney. I think the Bills will have interest in both. They can. It depends what they do with Diggs. Samuel and Mooney would be great additions. Both would excel playing with Josh.
  10. Those names are all over the place, not sure what you mean? Yes this would be similar to a Brown or Beasley signing. As he has production but not top level production. Are you saying Brown and Beasley were bad signings? Sanders was an aging vet signing. Samuel is 4.3 speed WR that can play everywhere on the field. He fits what Joe Brady does as an OC. Also it wouldn't prevent a 1st round rookie from getting on the field. Gives the Bills an explosive play maker.
  11. I remember hearing McDermott talk about preserving him or something. You wonder if this is planned.
  12. Money isn’t an issue for the Bills. They can definitely afford a WR2 in free agency. Even a WR1 if they make some simple moves.
  13. He’s like a Deebo Samuel lite. Can do some of the same things but never put it all together due to injuries. Explosive player that plays all over.
  14. I wonder if he’ll be the Harty replacement next year. Samuel is the type of WR you want running all those WR screens we’ve been calling. Doesn’t hurt that Samuel had over 1,000 total yards with Joe Brady and Beane helped draft him in Carolina. How would you feel about Samuel and a 1st round WR as the major WR additions?
  15. Very good run blocker. Struggled some in pass protection. One of the reasons I don’t want much change on offensive systems and coaching is the entire starting OL is signed next year. I like that continuity. Keep the system, tweak it, add playmakers outside.
  16. They definitely could’ve and should’ve beat KC. That’s why people want a coaching change. KC is not that much better, it’s a few plays here and there.
  17. Didn’t read the whole thing. But you don’t think they can beat Mahomes and Reid after their last two playoff meetings? Those games go either way. This isn’t Jimmy Johnson dominating Marv Levy.
  18. I get wanting the Bills to reach a level of excellence but Washington is one of the best DL coaches in the NFL. Do you really think simply by changing DL coaches Epenesa and Rousseau will become all-pros? Ed Oliver has had Washington coaching him and he just took a giant step. Development isn’t a one way street. Rousseau and Epenesa need to work at their craft this offseason, and I’m sure they will.
  19. Hamlin or Josh Allen? McDermott chose Hamlin.
  20. Not really. I’m not saying fire the players. They didn’t play well. Ed Oliver was handled by an All-pro OG. Firing Washington doesn’t help Oliver defeat Joe Thuney. If you’re evaluating the coaching staff you don’t just evaluate 1 game. Overall Washington doesn’t deserve to be fired.
  21. Terrible decision. Just go for it.
  22. If McDermott survives a couple more seasons it’s very likely.
  23. Not an accomplishment but you don’t fire a head coach for losing in round 2 of the playoffs every year to other elite QBs. Who exactly are we hiring to replace McDermott that we are confident would beat Mahomes and Burrow? At least we’ve seen a McDermott defense beat Lamar Jackson.
  24. I think it’ll be Rapp and Poyer. Cam Lewis 3rd safety. I also think Hamlin returns.
