  1. Sherfield? He’d be our Gabe Davis replacement.
  2. If the Chiefs were forced to choose a combo of Reid and Allen or McDermott and Mahomes which would they choose?
  3. Higgins isn’t the type that gets a ton of separation. He’s open even when covered.
  4. He use to be near the top. He fell. Diggs went from 7th open score to 21st. This is WR/TE. Not too bad of a drop, but a significant drop. Diggs went from 4th overall to 67th. 😬 https://espnanalytics.com/rtm/
  5. He’s a lot like Gabe Davis if you think about it. Inconsistent. Has some big moments. Great team guy. I think if they didn’t sign Knox they would’ve signed Gabe Davis. Which player would you rather have?
  6. Well you were right. 👏 I don’t think many were calling for a huge extension. But I definitely felt he had special talent for a TE. I really don’t want to see him on the field much anymore. Kincaid and Shakir should dominate passing reps over Knox. I love a traditional 11 personnel offense and I think Josh is much better running 11 personnel.
  7. I think he’ll be a redzone target and blocker moving forward. I don’t think he’s going to live up to the contract, but that’s easy to see today.
  8. Bragging after an injury plagued season? I think his brother died the year he signed the contract. Also, no one cares if you were right or wrong.
  9. They don’t need heavy offense though. Entire OL is back and good. TE group is back and good. Starting RB is back and good. We need depth RBs but I doubt that’s what you mean by heavy offense. The Bills need and will draft a couple WRs. 1 in the 1st 2 rounds and 1 in the middle rounds. I could also see a center and depth RB in the mid-late rounds. They need cheap labor on defense, those are draft picks. And please don’t do your draft board based on Boogie Basham.
  10. They’ve only drafted 1 edge player in the first round under McDermott. Now they’ve draft 5 defense to 2 offense in the 1st. I think the major issues in the draft have been those 2nd-3rd round picks.
  11. Why do Bills fans hate DE’s so much? Explain it to me. Please don’t say because they’ve drafted DE’s before.
  12. Why? We pick late 1st. There’s little difference between prospects late 1st-2nd. There’s probably less than 20 1st round grades. Bills need DL. It’s just as important as WR. They need to take a WR in the 1st 2 rounds, but I don’t care which round. They also should double up in the middle rounds.
  13. Edge/DT round 1 and WR round 2 is fine with me. Value at WR is there in round 2. I don’t see much difference between the WRs at the end of round 1 and the WRs that will go in round 2. I think round 1 WR depends on if they trade up or not.
  14. The entire offense returns minus the player the majority wanted replaced. Defense was in for change no matter what because of aging vets like Poyer and Hyde and a lot of 1 year deals. The thing is though safety is deep in free agency and there will be cheap starting options. The worry I have is DT and edge. The cap will clear up over the next couple years with Miller, White, and Diggs coming off. They already replaced White with cheaper players. Replacing Diggs and finding DT and edge players is the challenge.
  15. Well we got to that point pretty early. There wasn’t really much to discuss after. Just a lot of people repeating the point. Yes, I forgot that his cap hit was spread out last year.
  16. One thing that’s interesting about his route tree is Diggs and Beasley will tell you that he can run a full route tree but the offense only has him running certain routes most of the time. A lot could be Allen likes to throw certain routes and with his arm they get arrogant and think they can throw them all the time. We’re going to find out a lot about Gabe when he goes to his next team. We never had to use Davis as WR1 in Buffalo. Diggs was always healthy. I wonder what would’ve happened if Davis was forced to be a WR1 for Josh. We’ll never know.
  17. To me all Davis’ stats are Josh Allen stats. But we’ll see what happens. I wish him the best. I will also say this. He’s actually a decent boundary WR. Target rate he’s not a bad 3rd option, which is what he’s been in Buffalo. He had one year as the clear 2nd option in 2022 and it was a disappointing season. Still had decent stats but again, I think they’re Josh Allen stats. I wish him the best.
  18. Davis? As in Gabe Davis? Davis is the exact opposite. What in the world are we doing here? Where does Rousseau hurt the defense? We never complain about Rousseau. All we say is he hasn’t taken the next step as an elite pass rusher. Gabe Davis many believe hurts the offense, or holds back the offense. It’s easy to replace Rousseau? Read the board, all we talk about is all the edge players we draft or sign. It’s not easy. I wish we had more Rousseau’s. Epenesa is a lot like Gabe Davis. He hurts the defense but has big plays at times. He can’t defend the run. He is inconsistent as a pass rusher. Can’t set the edge.
  19. Fans have to get over the “all or nothing” mentality. We will sign middle tier players. Rousseau as a $20 million edge is worth it. He’s good at everything. He’s exactly what you extend. I would compare him to Dion Dawkins after year 3-4. You extend Dawkins because he was good at everything and played one of the top positions in the league. Dawkins wasn’t great at anything but had no weaknesses. At the time of signing he was the 5th highest paid LT. Now his contract looks like a bargain. You sign these guys to top 5-10 contracts at their position. Soon they fall down the rankings. These are the players you love to keep. All around good players and won’t break the bank. If we compare to Edmunds. Edmunds was not all around a good player. He had limitations. The GM talked about those limitations publicly. He also played a position that imo is plug and play like RB. You can find LBs easily if you want one.
  20. I think he’ll be a year after Mahomes. They’re talking about doing Mahomes deal this offseason. So we’ll see.
  21. Funny thing is Josh will get a substantial raise but his cap hits will go way down. This will likely happen after next year.
  22. Yeah I get it now. It was just a cap manipulation. Instead of taking on his cap for 1 year they spread it out. He was less than $3 million cap last year. Technically they can do the same thing this year.
