isn't "violent" and "sex offender who preys on children" redundant? i suppose the problem i have is that these crimes are not generally widely viewed as violent...and should be. the fact that it isn't called "rape"....rather than sugar coating it with a term like "sex offender"is offensive to me. if i ruled the world anyone convicted of raping a child would never see the free world.

i think the battle for the Democratic Nomination will be a dirtier fight than the battle for the White House......if that is possible.

i expect the Bills to sign Verba....or Teague to be the starter at LT.

I don't typically listen to Hannity but I heard he was playing clips of Schumer during the 2003 Roberts Confirmation hearings. Hannity is playing sound bytes of Schumer asking questions. I don't know who it was that chimed in....maybe Hatch, said, "you have the right to ask any question you want, no matter how stupid it is."

that might be the case....those that try to get abortion outlawed maybe doing so because that was a platform they ran on.....and to appease their constituents they have to at least show an effort. i agree however that there isn't nearly enough support to accomplish the abolishment of abortion.

so let me get this straight..... ...he is a moderate conservative,....he is a Bills fan,....and just a nominee? ...my guess is he loses the appointment by a slim margin.....losing votes from the "wide right".

it wasn't my intent to try and get the last word in....but i feel compelled to say this...i am not one that thinks everyone who is catholic goes to hell and everyone who goes to a "protestant" church goes to heaven. i don't believe it has to do with what "religion" you are. i believe it only has to do with your relationship with Jesus Christ. as it has been said many times... being in a "christian" church doesn't make you a christian any more than being in a garage makes you a car.

yeah......like that.

i have been in enough threads where i defend my faith through scripture which is different from the teachings of the Catholic Church to know this can't end well. so....if you want to discuss it off line through PM's feel free.

Is it illegal to state on your resume that you are a minority if you are in fact not? Here is why I ask. I was having lunch with some friends, one of which is a HR staff worker for a large local co. He said he was going through resumes and came across one which the guy stated under "Personal Information" Native American. My buddy was saying after he talked with the Dept. Mgr who was hiring that he liked the idea of having some diversity in his Dept to show his management that he is making strides to meet certain company wide goals...such as increased minority hiring. So the Indian dude got the job. So my question is, how would one know if this was true or not? Does the applicant have to provide some sort of proof that he is a minority if his or her appearance does not provide evidence of this?

you got an awful lot of information for something that just happened this morning. was this pig already a 3-time offender? or will this ultimately be his third offense? i don't know the laws but if this would be his third offence won't he go away for something like 25 years? personally I don't know why this guy is still alive after his first offense.

think what you want....the fact is,.....i personally don't hate anyone who is Catholic. But I do hate what the Catholic church teaches. the same way i don't hate JW's or Mormons, but I hate what I believe to be their false doctrine. if that makes me narrow minded because i think my faith is the only one that is right....sobeit.

this may not make it right in your point of view, but i don't think the people at BJU are Catholic Haters as much as they are haters of the teachings of the Catholic Church.
