are you thinking of the Pizza Cafe? if so...this is a thread about the best pizza...not the worst pizza. i left the pizza cafe one night...and the guy at the door (turned out to be the owner or the son of the owner) asked me how i liked the place. i told him...to be perfectly honest i think it was the worst pizza i have ever had. he got hostile to me.....i thought he was going to spit on me or throw a punch at me. seriously...the Pizza Cafe really really really is the suckiest pizza ever.

watching her tonight was like watching a skit on Saturday Night Live. i didn't know if i should laugh or feel sorry for her. yeah i know this shouldn't be a prerequisite but she is a hard woman to look at and an even harder woman to listen to.

i think it has something to do with their buoyancy.

the take out pizza is good. it's just that when you eat at the place and it comes out of the oven....my god man....it is so freakin' good. i guess i should add that it is thin crust. if you like the deep dish thick crust stuff....it won't be your favorite. they have this deal....called "The Collossal Challenge". I don't know all the facts but if you an one other person can eat one of their Colossal pizza's within something like 20 minutes you both get a free t-shirt and a coupon for a free large pie. I have never tried it. i am told they make this pizza a little thicker and a lot heavier on the toppings to try and slow you down. if you want to try it just for a good deal....they sell a nice sized pepperoni slice for just .99

in Rochester, my vote goes to TIMES SQUARE PIZZA. Located on the corner of Rte. 250 and 441 in Penfield. The key however is you have to order an entire pie and eat it in. Don't just get a slice and don't order take out. Both are ok....but their pie in house is AWESOME!

The Bears are a mess. They dropped a former #1 pick and signed St.Clair...who ranks up there with Jerry Crafts as the best ole~ tackle ever to play. My guess is they would be happy to have a mediocre Mike Gandy back in their lineup. As for giving Columbo a try? WTF?

Roberts confirmation hearing
OnTheRocks replied to OnTheRocks's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
i am going to turn this thread in a little bit of a different direction. Joe Biden. I would think....that the Democrats who sit somewhere in "Left-Center Field" would treat Roberts a little more respectfully. I am not saying he has done anything to deserve respect....but it just seems to make sense. The Democrats have got to realize that America is listening to the tone they use. They don't get it. They really don't get it. Everytime they get their clocks cleaned in a national election they scratch their heads and say.."we have to go back to the drawing board and find a way to make ourselves more appealing to middle america." Then they get on center stage like they have in the last couple days and rant and speak harshly to a man who really hasn't done anything to be spoken down to so much....and they show their true colors. When Biden got into his pissing match with Roberts about what he should answer and who does he think he is.....and finished with his tongue in cheek, "Go ahead. Please continue to not answer our questions." My guess is he was trying to show his Extreme Left camp that he hasn't forgotten them. Well...I have news for Mr. Biden.....the folks in the Extreme Left camp aren't helping them win any elections. -

Roberts confirmation hearing
OnTheRocks replied to OnTheRocks's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Anyone listening to the hearing? Roberts pulled out the Ginsberg quote: "No hints, no forcasts, no previews". Biden just had a hemmorage! I am listening to Rush this afternoon ...and he pulled out the soundbyte from the Ginsberg hearing with Biden saying, "you not only have the right not to answer these questions, I think you shouldn't answer the question." -
There is a lot of discussion about how Roberts will respond to certain questions put before him during this hearing. One is when Schumer begins to badger him and treat him like a hostile witness on "Law & Order" on his position of a woman's right to abortion. And Roberts response will be something to the effect of: "I can't answer that question because I don't want it to somehow effect any future decision that will be made". I don't know the complete history there but somewhere along the way maybe it was Sandra Day O'Connor that was the first to use this response. My question is, what is the purpose of this response? Why not give a clear answer and why dance around the topic? I know that I am not putting the expected response correctly but some of you smarties understand what I am getting at. MY other question is how is it determined which Senators take part in the confirmation hearing? I found this OpEd piece. Gave me a chuckle. Roberts will frustrate Mr. Schumer most, and he'll enjoy doing it.

Random game day observations
OnTheRocks replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Duke Preston is my player of the game. If I am not mistaken Villarial started the game. And the running game got nothing with him in the game. McGahee had no where to run. Then when Preston came in, all of a sudden McGahee was ripping off nice runs. Aside from that....I don't look at it as doom and gloom after one game, but I hope they figure out how to consistantly get into the endzone. Gandy played well....yet as mentioned in another thread I am now really looking forward to see how he matches up next week with Simeon Rice. The coaching staff gets a grade A simply for the opening drive. The Texans came in looking for a face full of McGahee and got a couple of perfectly thrown Losman balls wizzing past them. One sack allowed and no turnovers was pretty neat for a Bills fan to watch! I loved the throwback uni's. Especially the black high-tops. Very cool. -
IMHO QB Sleepers Carson Palmer RB Sleepers I don't know that there are any sleepers. I suppose you could make a case for any of the rookie RB's but all the other RB's are established already. Ronnie Brown Cedric Benson JJ Arrington Cadillac Williams WR Sleepers (I don't know if you consider these guys sleepers either. Chambers and Driver are both pretty established). Chris Chambers Donald Driver TJ Housh.

flip a coin, they are even.

Coles over Burress. Against the Chiefs the Jets could find themselves in a shootout. Williams over Henry. Henry has been hurt with the turf toe. Not to mention they are at Pittsburgh which dominates against the run. While Williams is a definate to play and they are against the Vikings. The Vikings will be much improved on Defense this year but you can expect it to take a few games for them to be running on all cylinders.

attention all shoppers. "ALWAYS PLAY YOUR STUDS!" you're welcome.

gosh...i have read this thread a time or two and i don't see a single bit of criticism. you only wish that people would criticize Gore to give you a reason to rant. somehow you still find a reason to post nonsense. i for one am thrilled to hear the story. do i think al gore has an alterior motive? sure...but that certainly isn't a criticism.

For the first time ever i was impressed by an NFL pre-game show. not the one on ESPN....but on ABC. I hate the Patriots....but that was cool when they unveiled their Championship banner....and how cool would it be to run out on the field with Ozzy performing live? And then the National Anthem with the fireworks. VERY COOL!

i agreed with you right up until this little catch phrase i keep hearing. "how many more lives could have been saved"? Yes...every life is important but my guess is that less than 5% of those lives lost would have been saved had the response been quicker. and of that "less than 5%" my guess is that 99% of them were ill and in trouble before the storm hit. these are people who died due to exporsure of heat and dehydration in the days immediately following. The constant hype in "potential" death toll numbers is very disturbing to me.

I'm a conservative and i will say it....i think what mother Bush said was an embarrassment. but i will also add....that my guess is that the Presidents parents are not out and about trying to patch up his image any more now then Bush Sr. was when he was traveling all over India 9 months ago.

i think Geraldo has been accused of inserting himself into a lot of things he shouldn't.
