i certainly understand the apprehension....but you can either choose an untested assistant who is waiting for his first opportunity or a recycled head coach like; Dan Henning, Norv Turner, etc..etc.

I am not sure I would want him in the Bills front office but Charley Casserly might get bumped out of Houston after the season and would at least be worth having a conversation with. Sean Payton is the assistant head coach to Bill Parcells, and there are a few of Parcells assistants that have a good track record of becoming successful head coaches.

i didn't read all the posts in this thread, but i think somewhere in the course of the gameplanning, the organization decided that Moulds is not part of their plans after this year. They have two top prospects in Evans and Parrish that they feel it was a priority to get them on the field and give them some game experience with Losman. This season is for all intents and purposes over. Moulds will be gone and Parrish and Evans are the future. I certainly wish there was a way to give Moulds a nice send off at their last home game.

I would say the first thing that has to be done is the firing of Tom Donahoe. I would let the next GM decide if he wants to hire a new coach. If TD fires Mularkey and TD somehow manages to keep his job, they would be hard pressed to find a real good replacement willing to come in after watching the hatchet jobs done on, Wade Phillips, Bruce DeHaven, Mike Shepherd, Gregg Williams, Gilbride, Rusty Jones, and now potentially Mularkey and his staff. No one worth their salt is going to want to come in and work for an organization that has no loyalty and dumps peope so quickly regardless if the dumping is justified. Most of these guys....even Gildbride has proven they are decent coaches when given quality players to coach.

For Head Coach I like the following candidates: John Fox Marvin Lewis Charlie Wiess ....oh! Wait! Nevermind.
