  1. i was talking to a friend yesterday who is a big Ravens fan. he said the reason Jamal Lewis hasn't had a good year was because the organization let Bennie Anderson walk without any compensation or replacement at LG.
  2. this has been my mantra forever as well. i will always go back to the Redskins of the late 80's and early 90's. This team won 3 Super Bowls with Joe Theeezmen, Doug Williams, (who was actually the best of the three QB's) and Mark Rypien. Went to the playoffs with Jay Schreoder, Stan Humphries....etc..etc. These guys were all Average QB's at best....yet with the best offensive line in the league they were perpetual playoff contenders.
  3. yes...i think back in the Hank Bullugh or Kay Stehpenson days. (??)
  4. even if Pete Carroll came back to the NFL and won 10 consecutive championships and the Bills went 10 seasons without a single win, and Carroll said he would come to Buffal to coach the Bills for free, I would say, "no freakin' way!".
  5. i thought the same thing up until yesterday. there are plenty of examples of great RB's being at least somewhat productive with horrible Offensive Lines in front of them. 3 yards on 8 carries with a long run for the day of "2" is dreadful.
  6. 1. Willis McGahee 8 carries for 3 yards. WHAT?!?!?!?!? The entire team rushed for 14 yards. Two weeks ago this team rushed for 53 yards against the Panthers. Three weeks ago they rushed for 64 yards. By no means am I giving the coaching staff a free pass, but at some point the players have to execute something. 3 yards on 8 carries was worse than embarassing. 2. More on the rushing offense. (or the lack there of). Someone (if not more than just one) on the offensive line must be tipping off the defense that the play is a running play or a pass play. The other question that came to my mind yesterday was this; Willis isn't doing any dancing or adjusting to find holes to run through. After Mularkey told Willis to stop dancing and run through the hole that the play was designed for, is Willis doing just that to spite his coach even when there is no hole to run through? If the play calls for him to run through the 3 hole, or the 4 hole...is he blatantly running to that spot with no effort to find addtional yards? 3. A couple of weeks ago I thought it would be a good idea to fire Donahoe at the end of the season. I now think it would be a good idea to fire him immediately. Who does Ralph consult with when the time comes to make such decisions? Does he get together and have lunch with Lamar Hunt and Bud Adams? I would think he must at least have someone on his radar to be considering. If Ron Wolf is an option, I bring him in right away and ask him to start evaluating every facet of the organization from top to bottom starting yesterday.
  7. i don't think that is such a farfetched possiblity.
  8. i haven't read the entire thread so i don't know if this was mentioned...but JJ was caught between a rock and a Marino. he had the power to either dump, trade or sit Marino and develop the offense he wanted but somehow he didn't have the balls to pull the trigger on dumping Marino....who at the time, obviously was "ALL EVERYTHING" to everyone in South Florida. Sort of the same boat the Packers are in with Favre right now.
  9. he was so excited to post something he thought was funny that he couldn't get his stubby little fingers to work right when he typed the thread title.
  10. simple death is too good for this animal.
  11. i hate to tell you this, but China is already a Global powerhouse....that will probably be partnering with Russia in the not too distant future to steamroll the world.
  12. I thought this thread was about this "Big Debate" Thread.
  13. Polian spent money wisely but spent too much. He was a keeper. Muckler on the other hand wanted to spend money but the Sabres had no interest in backing up a Brinks truck for anyone. He got to NY and spent a ton on money on name players that were no longer producing. Now as the article states he inherited a solid team. That I expect he will screw up.
  14. Rebecca needs to tone down the clown makeup.
  15. Elliot Spitzer already has the NYS Dems all lathered up for their victory party. They won't walk away from that one.
  16. i prefer the old man in a green jacket.
  17. now i get it. yeah...creepy man!
  18. i have absolutely no idea what that means.
  19. this whole things makes Mularkey and Donahoe look like stooges. when has this organization ever needed Ralph to come in an handle something when the coach and management have lost control? Other than to have him come in and fire a coach or GM? These guys are one some real thin ice.
  20. your forgetting the possible scenario of Tom D trading our first round pick to the Jets for Vinny Testicle.
  21. i really dig your signature line.
  22. I thought it was necessary to BUMP this thread since no one has posted anything about Eric Moulds in the last 7 seconds.
  23. The reason I ask,...is...and I am not complaining or anything...but...I started a thread that gave some coupon savings thingamajig for Christmas shopping online. I posted it first thing this morning. Suddenly it got moved to something called "The Consumer Digest" board......which I never even knew existed. I went to that board and it gets like 5 hits per week. I thought it would be helpful to post it here where at least a few people would see it. Oh well......Merry Christmas.
  24. sure...kiss them goodbye if you want to see special teams start circling the drain to go along with the offense and defense.
  25. yeah...you have to go to the PPP board for "normal".
