  1. my "go back to sleep" comment was directed to the names mentioned in the thread title. Ditka and Mooch. Although I don't think I would hire Art Shell, he would certainly be worth consideration.
  2. not really....just having fun being cranky.
  3. That wasn't me being abrasive. The last time I was abrasive it was to ICE and somehow I'm the one who got booted off the wall.
  4. speaking of sleeper.....please....go back to sleep.
  5. the problem with Gregg-oh and Mularkey is they are not masters of strategy or time management. and most importantly they just don't pay enough attention to detail. and it is the details...the little things...that bring championships. i hate Parcells, and Bellicheck as much as the next guy,....but these guys can coach.
  6. i am more then a little tired of the FA signings. lets get back to the fundamentals and build with the draft. then add a possible vet late in the FA period. Guys like Leonard Smith, Conrad Dobler, James Lofton. These are guys I want. not the Joe Panos, Bennie Andersons, and Trey Teagues.
  7. two words comes to my mind after looking at the picture: completed pass. (probably a 3rd and long)
  8. if the Texans don't take Ferguson, then there is a very good chance the Bills could get him. he is the only player worth trading up for. otherwise...i like the trade down for more picks philosphy this coming year. i thought it was a no brainer that the Texans would be taking Ferguson. Then I read in some magazine today....(ESPN maybe) that the Texans like Reggie Bush. hard to argue with wanting the next great back out of USC but for a team that so desparately needs OL help i would be stunned if they went with Bush.
  9. what are you looking for? a Sports Illustrated cover?
  10. sound like a good idea in theory....but you would have to have someone with a lot of confidence that wasn't going to take any BS from Donahoe. TD would still hold all veto power and that wouldn't work. IMHO
  11. i suppose if you are dressing for the game that won't happen.
  12. based on this, there is a good chance the Bills could end up with a #3 pick. can you imagine if the Bills had given up a 2006 #1 choice to the Cowboys instead of 2005? This can only mean one thing. the board will be crashing on draft day!
  13. i will always be partial to the 1980 uniform.
  14. Stew Barber must have been "ketchup soup".
  15. i am keeping my fingers crossed for an undersized WR that can return kicks.
  16. i could just see Billy Shaw and others standing at the end of the tunnel pummeling anyone that tried to step out onto the field wearing that uniform.
  17. "[Democrats] are the same people who rediscover poverty every election and promise to cure it. They've cured it so often that they've now made a profession of it. They thrive on failures, on righting wrongs, aiding victims, and so forth. It must be understood that success in those tasks would put them out of business. No matter how many programs are set up and operating, their proponents never claim success for them. To do so would be to say the problems have been solved, meaning the programs are no longer needed. And the programs, not the problems, are their very reason for being." —Ronald Reagan
  18. punctuation.
  19. this really not a big deal, but 90% of my posts never have capitalization....and am typically never really excited to get off replies.
  20. no....this game has been on Sat. ever since the schedule game out.
  21. I will be very interested to see if these so called unhappy veterans on the Bills will come to play on Saturday night with a National Primetime audience. If they come out and put out a weak effort as they did the last several weeks, I just might have to stop watching football all together. Anyone remember the emotions they were feeling when the schedule came out and they saw this game listed? I was very pumped. Now...I am not so sure.
  22. This is interesting. Last year the 3rd quarter was always when the Defense was at it's best because of the adjustments Gray would make at half time. I agree there have been some breakdowns on defense this year but i put that more on the fact that they are on the field a lot more, they lost two top key players in Pat Williams and Teko Spikes, and their safeties got old seemingly overnight. I like Jerry Gray and I would prefer to keep him at DC. Are there better candidates out there? Probably, but I don't think a change for the sake of change is a good idea.
  23. if they were willing to take his contract i would just give him back, (and pay the postage).
  24. speaking of the Raiders...I wouldn't hesitate to take Norv Turner as an offensive coordinator.
