  1. Marv just said something i am soooo impressed with. he is looking for "Character guys". I really think that will make a difference.
  2. classic quotes from Marv! will your age and physical stamina be a factor? "a.a.a.a.a.a..a..ahhhh can you please repeat the question?"
  3. my god their streaming suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks !!
  4. i don't know if Watson and Mario will be there for the Bills where you suggest,.....but i like the philosophy of drafting the DL and FA acquisitions for the OL.
  5. i am bumping this thread because i think it is appropriate and i think the opening post is pure genius.
  6. i am a huge fan of Kent Hull and think Haslett screwed him over pretty good....but I am pretty sure Haslett could handle himself against Kent. Not saying he would win, but it would be a fight worth paying admission to.
  7. i like Capers as a DC and Norv Turner as a OC. so lets just say for the sake of playing along that is what happens. then you have two seasoned coaches being lead by a JV Head Coach. not sure that will work out too well for very long.
  8. i visited Memphis a couple of years ago. one of my favorite vacation trips of all time. we went in July which was a mistake...i don't do well in heat and humidity. lots to do and see. and lots for kids as well.
  9. this in my opinion is a no brainer. fortunately there doesn't seem to be a lot of brains working at One Bills Drive.
  10. you are circling the drain on this argument. it is kinda fun to watch. .....see.....I have a sense of humor!
  11. i read these same arguments yesterday. if it was clear Letterman was trying to be funny it would be one thing. if he came out and did 5 minutes of material on O'Reilly in his monolouge i don't think people would have as much of a problem with it. but he was trying to ambush a guest. it was amateurish. and i expect better from Letteman.
  12. i liked BO'R reply to this. when Letterman said he based his opinion on things he has read and heard. O'Reilly said, "based on what you have read??? do you believe everything that you have read about yourself"?
  13. whatever. In my opinion Letterman was "knocked out" when he wiffed on his first punch. As I have watched this clip a half dozen times.....this was about as bad of an "attack" job since Rosie O'pig had Tom Selleck on her show. DL couldn't wait to to ask "did you have a "happy holiday". When BO'R came back with "I had a nice winter solstice". Letterman looked like his night was ruined. He almost instantly became confrontational. BO'R gives an example of a Memphis library that won't allow the baby Jesus in a manger scene and all DL can say is, "I don't believe it. I don't believe it." Then in the close for him to say he can't give examples because he doesn't watch the show was as lame as the conservatives saying Michael Moore's movie sucked and in the same breathe say they never saw it. Take away the applause from the audience who supported Lettermen through most of the exchange, and Lettermen sounds pretty pathetic actually. Look....I am no fan of BO'R. And I have been a fan of Letterman since before he had his morning show on NBC. DL made an ass of himself.
  14. Lee Corso. I don't watch much college football....and what i have seen of Lee Corso in pre games he has been wrong a lot. but one thing is for sure. he has some incredible enthusiasm! he has me pretty pumped!
  15. i'm not suprised
  16. from a thread earlier in the week: "Truth and righteousness is of no account." add morals to the list.
  17. he said he doesn't fire coaches. his GM's do that. at least i think that is what i heard him say.... at least i thought it was Ralph. I might have been Shecky Greene at the podium.
  18. i could here him right now...."what the hell is going on theraaah???"
  19. some of you might not have been around.....but i distinctly remember... this was way before the internet. i lived in a rural area near Cooperstown. We would get blurbs in the newspaper about the Bills from time to time. I remember opening the newspaper and completely out of nowhere was this news story that the Bills had hired Knox. The story said something about him wanting to get as far away from Los Angeles as possible. I remember having jumped for joy! Being so excited. If Mularkey is dismissed. I can only hope to be stunned with great happiness as I was that day I had read the Bills hired Knox. Sort of like finding out Vince Lombardi had come back to life just to coach the Bills.
  20. Sorry to start another "Marv" thread. I think it is a good move to have Marv on staff as an ambassasador. I have thought for many years that Ralph Wilson has developed a horrible reputation in the coaching circles. This goes back to his meddling with Chuck Knox and even before that his conflicts with Lou Saban. There is talk that OC Dan Henning got the boot because of Ralph although fans were in favor of that move. I think he is responsible for the Wade Phillips mess. I think he is responsible for Mike Shepherd getting the axe after only one season. Greggo only got three years...and his GM screwed him by taking a lame RB instead of an OL or DT in the first round when it was critical to upgrade those positions. Now....Mularkey is getting fed to the wolves after only two season. Granted Donahoe is as responsible as Ralph for some of these decisions but I think it will be Marv that will convince a qualified candidate to consider a Head Coaching position in Buffalo.
  21. there was something very eerily similar to to the Vice Presidential debate with James Stockdale. "why am i here??!?!?!?!?!?"
  22. i am sorry it didn't work out. he came to town with a lot of promise...and i expected a lot more.
  23. what i think is funny is this crazy "onegoodmove" website tries to spin it like Letterman got the best of BO'R.
