  1. i guess losing the OL starters in FA and the #1 WR and the #1 RB to injury had nothing to do with anything.
  2. I have resigned myself to the fact that whoever the Bills hire as a HC, I will not be happy with the decision. Therefore regardless of who is hired, I will not be disappointed. With the names I keep hearing swirling around, Jim Haslett, Jerry Gray, Dick Jouron, Russ Grimm, Marv Levy....none of them get my juices flowing with excitement. Ralph has a history of pinching pennies when it comes to head coaches. And some of the most exciting options are going to cost more than 1M per year.
  3. forget Wade....Bring back Tom Landry!
  4. I have two: Buffalo Bills QB Joe Ferguson Cincinnati Reds SS Dave Concepcion
  5. i am not "ANYONE" but I am "SOMEBODY" ( ) ....and I would love to have Norv Turner as an OC. he has a tremendous record as an OC. I can't believe "anyone" wouldn't want him.
  6. Morty is afraid Irvin will go "gangsta" on him if he doesn't support his election to the hall. Art Monk not being elected to the HOF is the biggest travisty of any in regard to deserving players not being let in. I was at the HOF ceremony the year Jim Kelly was inducted....and Lynn Swann passed me in the hall wearing his Yellow blazer. I asked him if he stole the blazer from Art Monk. He sassed me and kept walking.
  7. THREAD# 784 RE: NFL Draft Jets will interview Mangini on Sunday here is my thought. if the Jets hire Mangini as their new head coach.....it seems to me that a defensive minded coach would be more inclined to go after a stud defensive player with his first pick in the draft. With the Packers looking at Jim Bates, or Wade Phillips as their next HC, again, is there a stronger possibility that they will go after the best available defensive player because that is what they know best. Leading to the increased chance of Ferguson falling to them at #8. I still like the idea of bulking the OL with Hutchinson and Bently in FA and building the DL in the draft, but i like the Ferguson a whole bunch too.
  8. Dutch: That's Vic's baby. I have $500. on it. Claudette: My money is on you. I love Claudette.
  9. i thought he was too but i seem to remember that maybe he was a DL coach with Marv?
  10. I think Cotrell was a DL coach. Herm Edwards was a DB coach before going to the Jets.....and I think Lovie Smith was a LB coach in Tampa before he went to the Rams, and then onto the Bears. Is there a best position coach to choose from when selecting a DC? Discuss.
  11. why would you refer to people in Texas as "Right Wing Loons" but people in Mass. as "Liberal" and not "Liberal Loons"? Sounds like a double standard to me.
  12. last night's first episode was typical of past years. this show takes its time setting up a season long storyline...and only gets better as the season goes on.
  13. i can think of about 22 things the Bills need to make the playoffs.
  14. i would be most happy with Norv Turner. see --->
  15. Carville and Rove is a good comparison. i think they are both super smart and both are snakes.....looking to grab the coat tails of power any way they can.
  16. no. the original post was claiming that Poverty was an issue of race. I was saying poverty was an issue of "lazy". are all people living in poverty lazy? no. are some? abso-damn-lutely. are most? i don't know that percentages....but if i were a gambling man, i would say most have mutiple reasons for being in poverty. one reason is "lazy". are you saying that people that live below the poverty level aren't lazy? I am sure you would have to agree that the answer is "yes...some people in poverty are lazy". That is when I would pull a "Mickey" and say.....Ah-haa...so you are saying Blacks in poverty are lazy.
  17. just curious. just curious.

  19. must be why Donald Trump always looks pissed off.
  20. this isn't an issue with race in America. it is an issue with something called "lazy". and it doesn't discriminate.
  21. it might have been on this board I read, but can anyone confirm if this season will be extended to 20 episodes? and is this the final season?? i think this is the best program on television since "Homicide: Life on the Street"
  22. far be it from me to speak for someone else...but i think what he was saying is, you can see the humor and sarcasm in what Letterman said, but you can't see the sarcasm in my post. don't get your panties in such a knot.
  23. James Carville and Paul Begala were on Imus this morning promoting their book, "Take It Back". During the interview Imus asked Carville something about being involved with the "most Democrat something or other" ( i can't quite remember what he was saying)....anyway, he was saying whatever it was, Carville had done this the more than anyone in history. IMUS: Is that true? JC: Yeah...well..I don't know...it is something that we say anyway. (laughs),..we have a pretty wide strike zone when it comes to that kind of thing. Interpretation: Carville will lie about just about anything. I am hoping it will be up on the WFAN site this afternoon. I don't much care for Carville but this was a really insightful interview that I would like to listen to again. Talking about how the Rank and File of the Democrat party needs to separate somehow from the term "Liberal". I think Carville almost sounded intelligent. (but then again, he has a pretty wide strike zone in that area.)
  24. I would like to take "Silly awards that mean absolutely nothing" for $200. Alex.
