Is Tom Daschle a democrat in the mold of Al Gore in that in my opinion he would be Extreme left? Or is he more middle of the road? Tom Daschle considers bid for president I think the Dems are going to have a tremendous battle on thier hands trying to define who they are in '08. As a party are they going to support a candidate as extreme as Gore (which i think he is already campaigning for), or are they going to go with someone a little more moderate?

I think the ideal situation for continuity purposes would be hire Mike Sherman as the HC. He is an Offense coach, and with the impression that JP Losman has the look of a young unseasoned Favre.....i know that is a big reach, but that is what everyone keeps saying. Then hire Ted Cottrell as the DC/Assit. Head Coach with a promise that he gets the HC gig if things fall apart on Sherman. As long as things don't fall apart on Cottrell's defense first.

i was thinking about this incident when it was first reported that he would be a candidate for the job....and thinking he is the kind of guy i would want as the coach of the Bills. big thumbs up!

interesting that you have a problem with OJ, but don't indicate a problem with Murphy. some people may not consider that raping your children isn't as bad as lopping off the heads of two people,... however i still think i would refrain from naming either to any "distinquished" lists. yeah i know Murphy was aquitted.....but so was the other guy.

it seems to me that he interviewed for a coaching position post Wade Phillips era. i think it was after the Bills chased Mike Sheppard out of town. he interviewed for the OC, but the job went to "Killdrive".

in my opinion the Pack should have done whatever they could to keep Bates. Jerry Gray is a screamer. since he came here on the back of Greg Williams and then worked side by side Dick Lebeau, few are willing to give him credit for the top 3 finishes the Bills defense had under his leadership.....but give him full credit for their falling apart this year.

if the Bills hire Sherman,.... this will go down in history as a great thread. there is a lot of great insight that you just don't get from the day to day crap on the board. and what i mean by that is.....the Green Bay homers have some good and negative comments to make on MS. The Buffalo locals who don't want Sherman for whatever reason simply say, "sherman sucks...next".

this is the scenario i am growing to love. unless and only unless Ferguson falls to #8. The only problem with that is they will likely have to pull the trigger on the FA's before the draft. which may not be such a big deal....if they can lock up a couple of superior OL FA's before the draft, it clears the way to focus on DL in the draft.
