  1. it is a good hire for the Rams. unfortunately for Haslett, the only bad place for him was Buffalo due to his remarks on Kent Hull. If he had never made those comments, I have a hard time believing he wouldn't at the very least been hired as the Bills DC.
  2. has there been a situation where an OC came in and made more money than the HC?? i think that is what the Bills might need to consider.
  3. i have no time right now to read this entire thread but i too will hold off any criricism of this hire until i see who he brings as assistants.
  4. HOLY CRAP!! check out the video clip on post # 13! dude's on fire!

  8. ummm.....no it hasn't.
  9. there are a half dozen new coaches in the league who have not been HC's. that means some guys,.....like Sherman, Martz, Tice (not that i want Tice or Martz) but these guys will not be HC's this year. it will come down to if they want to sit out a year....get some rest, collect the jack and wait for someone to be fired next year. i would be THRILLED to have Sherman as an OC, but I can't see Ralphie boy forking out the money for that.
  10. i am not happy, but thank goodness to good planning....I am not disappointed!
  11. goes to show you the value of a good GM. In Carolina with Polian, Capers led the Panthers to the NFC Championship Game. In Houston he had Casserly.
  12. I love the internet!!

  14. don't get me started. these people should suffer the worst punishment imaginable.
  15. to borrow a phrase from Alaska D....."you missed spelled "lick" by spelling it "s-m-e-l-l"
  16. your post was a lot more interesting than mine.
  17. he will end up wherever his half brother Wade Phillips ends up.
  18. I just did a quick head count of NFL coaches and imho the majority of sucessful head coaches come from the defensive side of the ball. i think that is interesting. having said that, i still think i prefer Sherman over Jauron.
  19. well said, and I have to believe that is the case here. I also think that Lofton has already had that conversation with Marv. Marv is just genuine and sincere enough in his approach that Lofton might say, "ok Marv, I know the minority interviewing requirements...and I am willing to be your "token" (god i hate that term), as long as you give me consideration for the OC".
  20. Question #1. This one is a bit far fetched....but I will ask anyway. If the Oakland Raiders pick up the phone and call Marv and say, "hey Marv...we would like you to be the next Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders." Do you think he would resign immediately and take the job? Question #2 If the Buffalo Bills invite someone like...lets say, Art Shell in for an interview and he declines. Can that be counted toward interviewing a minority if the invitation was extended?
  21. How long did you think it would take for this: Ralph: How much will you cost us? Mike: 3.5 mill per year. Ralph: Next?!!
  22. i really like SJ but that is an awful picture
  23. i was going to suggest that for Marv's sake...it is a prune tree.
