  1. uummmmm...no...I am not worried about the playoffs at all...you were the one that brought home field during the playoffs. Heck..I am just happy with a team that is competitive.
  2. Perhaps....and perhaps he brings in a coach he is familiar with that has a winning history and no interest in being the GM: Tony Dungy?
  3. Right...and 10-6 isn't going to get you HF through the playoffs.
  4. Does Mike Lombardi realize that the Bills only play half their games in Buffalo? What are the fat tubby lineman going to do when they have to play in Florida and Texas and other points south in Sept. and Oct. ?
  5. Is there a link to this comment from Parcells? I am not doubting he said it, but I would like to see the context. Was he saying it is a perfect place for football - because any team he brings in to play the Bills - wins?
  6. and obviously wasn't paying attention to the guy on the sidelines they propted up for the past 3 1/2 years.
  7. GM: I would make a run at Ernie Accorsi. I know he is retired...but I would put together an offer he couldn't refuse. Head Coach: Mike Shanahan. Some may say, he lost his team before he was fired and he caught lightening in a bottle with Elway and Davis. I think he is more than that - and a coach that will "LEAD" the team. Shanny may not take a posistion coaching without total control....but these are the two I would go with. These two would also cost a BOAT load of money...but that is what it will take to bring in a proven winner.
  8. Straight to the golf course. Where he will enjoy himself.
  9. Don't fall for it! It's a trick! A TRICK I TELL YA!
  10. I agree 100% = Lee Evans was right in the middle of that blow up too - flappin' his gums and no one has made any mention of it.
  11. WTF? Did he really roll with this crap line? Really?
  12. Russ Grimm and Ron Rivera - fit the mold of assistant coaches the Bills have hired in the past. I would not be suprised if either of them were signed. They would not be my first choice. but they would be interesting choices of guys that have "worked hard and paid their dues" -and just might be desperate enough to be Head Coahces to accept an offer from the Bills.
  13. I don't buy it....I think he said the same thing about wanting to stay with the Raiders - before he signed a contract with the Bucs - about 12 minutes later.
  14. Great comments from the Titan fans - below the story on this link: http://blogs.tennessean.com/titans/2009/11...ills-a-message/ Seems their fans think as highly of their old man owner as Bills fans do.
  15. I agree. I would take him over anyone we have and what about 20 other teams have as well.
  16. It seems to me that each year the Bills make a single move in the offseason to boost ticket sales. This HAS got to be the year that they dip into their pockets for a quality coach and GM. I personally believe they can win with the players they have as long as they add a T. (left or right...i don't care) Yes..I think they can win with Edwards. He isn't my choice to be the franchise QB - but, if I had my choice between spending money on a big name QB in FA or a trade - or a big name GM and Coach - I would take the latter every time.
  17. I was watching the Chargers this past weekend and can't help but be reminded of Kelly when I watch Phillip Rivers. He has some of the same cockey attributes and backs it up with success.
  18. I remember when this occurred and Steve Sabol NFL Films stating that they were going to use that game as a part of their game of the week show - but they decided not to because there was just too much "bleeping" required.
  19. I didn't get that impression at all. I thought he came across as a crusty old guy that told it like it was. Even if I weren't a Bills fan and big Marv fan - I think I would have to say this is one of my instant favorites.
  20. I would be ok to have Greggo back as Head Coach....as long as Rusty wasn't going to be the GM. Williams came in with the impression that he had to change the atmosphere - and ok...he went a bit overboard his first year. Their defense at the time was spectacular....but that was a period of time when Christ Mortensens little beotch Tom Donahore neglected the OLine - year after year after year....and at the time when they were desperate for Oline help - TD - took McGahee in the first round - knowing he wasn't even going to play for the first year. I think Greg got screwed when he was here....much like most of the Bills coaches and assistanct coaches have been - when they are not given the talent to succeed.
  21. ummm...yeah...the OLine Trent Edwards played behind at Stamford was pretty horrendous.....how did that pick work out? Or are we still in the denial stage here?
  22. That is not the same Reggie McKenzie.
  23. I want the guy who is going to "LEAD" the team. Yeah...I want the guy who has a big arm...and the guy who is accurate...and the guy who can make every throw in the play book....BUT...more importantly I want a guy that can step in an lead the team. I want the guy that is going to fight to stay in the lineup even if he is hurt. When an OLmen misses a block, I want him to get in the guys face. When a guy drops an easy ball....or even a not so easy ball....when a guy runs the wrong pattern...I want the QB that is going to go to that player and let him know he screwed up. I don't care about his computer print out = as a model size and model this or that. Enough with these west coast mamby-pamby types....bring me a freakin' football player who is willing to go out there, and do whatever it takes to win -and punch somebody in the mouth.
