Rocky Seto of USC offered coaching

Pete Carroll's first NFL coaching job was with the Bills DB's....and he is pretty vocal about his not so pleasant experience. I hope he isn't a crappy coach that Carroll is trying to get rid of by pushing him on the Bills. -
Saw a good movie on DVD this weekend

i rented "the great raid". it was ok....i liked the documentary portion at the beginning to give some background to what the movie was about. seemed almost like a little low budget. it was a good rental but i think it could have been a lot better. -
despite popular lefty camp belief....the administration does not have anyone from Fox News on staff.

in about 3 weeks we will begin to see the posts that suggest we should Bennie Anderson for an extra first round pick.....and that will solve all the Bills problems.

Vernon Davis 6-2, 255 Antonio Gates 6-4, 260 Heath Miller 6-5, 256 Jeremy Shockey 6-5, 253 Alge Crumpler 6-2, 262 Tony Gonzalez 6-5, 251 Avg Height: 6-3, 256 I think the height issue could be a slight problem....but i don't know anything about his leaping ability. He is an underclassman....do these kids keep growing taller after they turn 21?

i like what i see on the video....but there are greater needs on the interior OL/DL. he is a clear favorite if the Bills can find someone to trade down with....but i just don't see Marv making any major splashes on his first draft while in charge. i think i would be mildly disappointed if he was taken at #8. i can't believe there is anyway possible that the Bills would leave Williams or Ferguson on the board in favor of Davis. however, it would be a toss up to me if they took him over Ngata.

my god....i can't imagine what kind of media circus would ensue if that happened. not that i don't think it would have been well deserved, but i think somewhere around the 30th consecutive day, i would have been asking to join his next hunting party. -
i want to know what he thinks about Fewell and Jouron. I am guessing he would speak highly of Jouron since he hired him.....but first hand knowledge on what their coaching philosophies are would be cool.

I was listening to a talking head on the radio this afternoon talk about what a great guy Wayn Gretzky was....and all he has done for the communities he has worked in through his illustrious career. he went on to say that he hopes Gretz gets cleared of any potential wrong doing in this NHL gambling deal because he would hate to see his image tarnished. This all got me thinking....I was only 9 in 1973. Do any of you old timers remember what kind of connection Simpson had with the community of Buffalo back in the early to mid 70's? Was he known to be a "giver to the community"? And does anyone have any personal memories of Simpson doing any Community work?

What would YOU do with the #8 pick in the draft?
OnTheRocks replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
unless D'Brick Ferguson or Mario Williams were still available, I would trade down. -

What would you do if you were Houston?
OnTheRocks replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In FA's Sign Bently and Hutchinson and whoever the TOP LT is available. Then in the dradt I would take Bush. Then in the second round of the draft I would take whoever the next best OL available. Then in the third round of the draft I would take whoever is the nect best OL available. Then....in 2006 I would let David Carr hand the ball to Bush and let him run for 2000 yards. -

I hadn't heard that. Does anyone know if $$ had been the reason for his saying no? Or was it that he didn't want it because he lost out on the HC interview? It is interesting how the title "Assit. Head Coach" has been floated around with more and more frequency. Texans Expected to Hire Sherman -- Fri Feb 10, 2006 --from FFMastermind.com The Houston Chronicle reports the Texans are expected to hire former Green Bay HC Mike Sherman as assistant head coach/offensive line, although the move may not become official before next week. Sherman has been on a family vacation and still must work out a contract, but he’s expected to report for work Monday. Even though he won three division titles and made the playoffs four times, Sherman was fired by the Packers after the season. He interviewed for head-coaching jobs with Buffalo and the New York Jets. He turned down offers to become the offensive coordinator of the Bills and Jets. Kubiak, who coached running backs at Texas A&M when Sherman coached the offensive line, made a convincing case for Sherman to join him in Houston. Coaches who have already signed with the Texans are Troy Calhoun (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks),

the generalization on my part was poor judegment. i had lunch yesterday with a guy whose wife is a teacher. and she doesn't do jack....and all he did was complain about how hard she works. i have friends that work in the Rochester City School Dist....and i have seen first hand the waste of dollars that could be better used by burning the dollars and using the fire for heating the buildings. i am not convinced the the percentage of good teachers is higher than the percentage of bad teachers.

i have said many times that Kelsay and Denney are both backups and Schobel is nothing more than a solid #2 DE. (very similar to Phil Hansen). If the Bills can get Mario Williams....which I doubt he will be around past the 5th pick.....Schobel's stats are going to skyrocket. however there is no more glaring of a hole on the Bills than TE/LG/C.
