one of the things that is breaking the backs of Rural upstate New Yorkers is the attempt of some of the school systems to push through bond votes for astronomical numbers. many of the rural schools were built in the pre 1950's and are falling apart. do they need new facilities? Sure they do....it is the new atheletic fields and entertainment auditoriums they keep including in their agendas that voters are balking at. quite often the deals are pushed in the winter months when most senior citizens are in the south. i have seen a number of battles where school boards have been extremely decieptful on how much of the burden will fall on them and how much the federal or state govt will pick up on the tab. i think they are finding out it is the kids who are getting pushed through school systems now based on their high/lo self esteem philiosophy... may not be too bright. however the old timers who have been around awhile are a little sharper than they anticipated and not taking anyone's word for what is being stated on the budgets.

actually as usual you are wrong. Rochester although has lost people isn't crummy. and is far being a wasteland. it is going through a growth spurt drawing new business and also seeing current businesses expand.

he is close to being correct. the area's off the thruway are upscale compared to the counties just south and north of the thruway. Yates, Otsego, Schoharie Madison counties.....look like the wealthy older brother of Appalachia. The rural communitites of Upstate are really in trouble and have been over the last 40 years as nearly all the farms have gradually shut down the problem is that most democratic programs he intends to put in place will only make it worse.

So the Bills are still holding onto Eric Moulds. I know there are a few posts of rumors he was cut today. If it came down between keeping Eric Moulds and not signing Ryan Pickett, or releasing Moulds to provide more money to draw Pickett in, which would you choose? Personally, I would have cut Moulds a month ago and signed Pickett.

I thought this guy was a bit of an underachiever so i am not disappointed the Bills didn't sign him, however i am a little suprised i never saw any mention of him. i am really interested to see what the Bills have planned for upgrading their OL.
