i actually thought the OLine played "improved" from last week. They weren't blowing anyone off the line but they were giving Willis "cracks" to slip through and the pass protection was improved as well.

I thought they were great. Watching the game last night I felt like I was sitting with some guys that really know the NFL game in my livingroom. And they enjoyed it. Neither of them are particularly eloquent but who cares. They worked well together and I think that ESPN is going to get enough feedback and pressure from fans that they will have to the change to this crew before the season is over. If not full time then at least periodically throughout the season.

is DiTullio the confirmed choice to replace Davies fulltime? Of is he just doing a "tryout" this week? I like DiTullio. I have only listened for a few minutes today and a little yesterday. He is hard to listen to. But he is likable.

danny clark is a LB that has big tackle stats on a team that had their defense on the field a lot. that doesn't mean he is a good LB.

something to consider.....typically coaches or GM's grab players they are familar with...there may be a player or two that DJ is looking at from the Lions cut list: My thoughts on a couple of players: Demps could be a replacement for Bowen/Wire Pinner could be a replacement for A-Train if he doesn't show any improvement. Gregory could be added for depth. I know I know...who wants someone elses cut players? I think if they know the system the coach is putting in, they have some value. Another option would be defensive players cut by the Bears (tied to Fewell) and the offensive players cut by the Rams (tied to Fairchild).

I think the only player cut that really "shocked" me is Eric King. With the inevitabile departure of Clemments next year I would have thought we was a keeper. ESPECIALLY since they really didn't have a chance to find out what they have in Youboty this summer. My guess is there was something behind the scenes that led to his release. I don't really have any alligence to any of the player cut but I do hope they manage to get King back on the PS. My guess is he will be scooped up by someone else.

i was impressed watching the Lions players coming up to him after the game on Thurs. not just saying hello and a courtesy hand shake. but they looked genuinely happy to see him and giving him a big "man love hug".

DISCLAIMER: I do not think the Texans will make this offer, I am just playing the "I get to be GM" in my head for kicks and giggles. Watching the news reports from Houston and it looks like the Texans could be without Dominick Davis. If the Texans came calling and offered a 1st round pick for McGahee would you make that deal? For me it is a no brainer, I would make that deal in a second. I know last year the Seahawks shopped Alexander and the Colts shopped James, and no one would even offer a 2nd rounder.
