  1. if "mess up the McGahee deal" means signing him to a long term deal, then I agree with Mort.
  2. Let me be the first in to add these additional proverbial news flashes: Water is wet. The sky is blue.
  3. i suppose...but i don't think i would put Capers or LaBeau on Cowher's "tree" since they were pretty well established before Cowher was a HC. (i think... )
  4. Cowher? He has a coaching tree? I think they start with Paul Brown and go from there no?
  5. I think they only elect a max. of 6 total per year. I hope Thurman gets in this year. I think he got screwed by not being a first ballot entry last year. I think Andre Reed definately gets in well before his nomination gets to a "veteran's committee" but I also don't think he will make it this year. Of the non players, it comes down to George Young and Paul Tagliabue. My guess is George Young will get the nod this year and Tags next year. One guy I hope makes it in this year: Art Monk. There has never been a player more screwed over in this process. Ever. I don't get why he hasn't been voted in. One guy I hope never makes it in: Bob Duche-n-berg. This guy is a loser. Who I think gets in this year: George Young Thurman Thomas Russ Grimm Charles Haley Bruce Mathews And one of those "Veteran Committe" guys. Charlie Sanders or Gene Hickerson.
  6. saw this posted on another board: http://www.nedobeck.com/gross_man.jpg
  7. if i recall correctly the Bills didn't really want to trade up to take him, but they saw nothing after him at the position that they were hot for, and didn't want to depend on a need position to be filled with something in the 5th round....like say....Kyle Williams.
  8. Outdoor photography. Reading about the American Revolutionary War. Traveling to US Historical sites and museums. (Washington DC, Boston and Gettysburg are such a cool places!) Bible study. Watching movies, and sports. Hanging out with my wife on a Saturday afternoon with nothing to do. Yard work. Eucre.
  9. sounds like they should use a picture of Chris Brown for the page in the book the describes angry and bitter.
  10. to each his own i guess. Curtis is #3 on his own team because he plays behind Tory Holt and Issac Bruce. He would be the #2 WR on most any other team. Bills #2 WR was Peerless Price: 49 Receptions 402 Yards 3 TD's Curtis as a #3 WR with Rams: 40 Receptions 479 Yards 4 TD's My guess is as a #2 WR with the Bills, Curtis would put up Evans like numbers and give them a dual outside speed threat.
  11. Canadian Style = Doggie Style. Just the way the canuks call it.
  12. I expected the score of the game last night to be the score that you saw, I just thought the teams with those points would be reversed.
  13. I agree with this.
  14. I disagree. I thought just before he was hurt he started coming on and playing well. And just the fact that he has gone through the whole first season, training camp, and all the in's and out's of being in the NFL give a 2nd year guy an edge he didn't have coming in as a rookie. Are the Bills counting on him? I suppose that is hard to say. I think if the Bills add a wide body DT, McCargo is going to fit into the Bills Defensive line philosophy of speed and lots of rotations very well. Yes he needs to prove that he can stay healthy, but that isn't something you can predict one way or another.
  15. If teams looking to fill a coaching position, lets say Offensive Coordinator or Defensive Coordinator....which would Bobby April be more inclined to be considered for?
  16. i am looking forward to seeing the hockey chick bust knuckles on someone that tries to bring her into the boardroom without a good reason.
  17. i think Trump really wanted to can them both. but the network probably won't let him start doing mutiple firings until a couple weeks into the show until they see how the ratings start to come out.
  18. i never liked Dr. Z's writing. this article does nothing to change my opinion.
  19. This article is chock full of dandy quotes:
  20. Glad to see Martin fired...but Frank isn't far behind him. Ivanka: no shirts? Gay Guy at Car Wash: Do you want to take your shirt off and join us? Ivanka: No...not today. Maybe next time.
  21. Kevin Curtis - Rams WR Familiar with Steve Fairchild. His numbers dipped considerably from 2005 to 2006 due to playing time behind Issac Bruce. (last year Bruce missed a few games). His dip in numbers may make him a little more affordable. In my opinion, he would be a perfect compliment to Lee Evans. Maybe the only downside is he isn't the protypical "big" receiver. He is only 5'11" 186lbs. From FFMastermind.com:
  22. or former 76er Mo Cheeks
  23. my best guess is they will adress the OG need through Free Agecny, and whoever they sign we will all be disappointed in. i really am bummed that McCargo got injured this year because it really makes it difficult to decide if DT is their greatest need and should be used with a first round pick. the thing that bothers me is that here we are gearing up for another draft and realizing there are still a lot of needs: (in no paticular order) OG (x2) OT DT LB CB (if Clemments does indeed leave). TE #2 WR The good news is if they sign Clemments, CB can be removed from the list...and if they don't resign him you can expect they will fill another need and shorten the "need list" someplace else.
  24. I saw it. Wilbon was balking at the idea that big white thug hockey players are not given the "punk criminal" tag that big black thug basketball players are given when they brawl. He was upset that there is no media outrage over white athletes being thugs like black athletes ala Ron Artest. He mentioned he tuned into ESPN Sportscenter to see what level of "outrage" the likes of Barry Melrose would have.
  25. i am just getting over this virus. i was on the can for so long, i felt like i had taken a double dose of Phospha Soda in preparing for a colonoscopy. throw in a handful of barfs, and i think i lost 10 lbs in the last 2 days. it was awful.
