i will agree that blacks in that era got the short end of the stick, but i can't believe there weren't a lot of white players that went into a room with white shirts and ties.....without an agent.....and got taken to the cleaners. In addition, for every James Harris (who happened to be black) there were unproven young white players that were sent packing because of an unfortunate injury or just not enough room on the roster. so i look at this story and wonder how much of it is someone just trying to exploit his skin color. one thing i will agree with is, that there were likley (and maybe even still the case) "white management" types that took the Al Campanis type position that a black player didn't have the intelligence or capacity to play the QB position. which truly is/was unfortunate.

Interesting Article This not something I had ever considered when watching who the Bills are targeting and why. I understand that they always have to consider what the compensation will be but I didn't realize this was part of it.

the real question is did you order the pizza in advance? like the day before or 2 to 4 hours ahead of time? if you did, then $25. is fine. had you called and said you were going to order 17 pizzas and you want a deal, they would have likely given you the coupon price anyway. if you ordered 17 pizza's the day you needed them and expected them delivered in 45 minutes, then you should have not used coupons at all, and spoke to a manager and give you a one deal price that included tip....so the entire pizza staff got a benefit from the deal.

yes...they signed both players to offer sheets and the team holding their rights matched the offers.

seems to me like i read the Chargers are targeting Dielman with a "franchise tag" (??) i don't know...i reas so much crap on the internet, i can't remember where it came from or if it was Dielman i read it about.
