  1. i like that headline. pretty much sums up the day for a lot of players.
  2. good thing they got that deal done 45 minutes into free agency. someone might have out bid the Bills.
  3. I am sorry I don't have a link...I heard earlier today his trade to the Bucs was as good as done...now..retirment?
  4. you know....the Redskins are the team that is always out their overpaying for washed up super stars.
  5. Let us know when you pass the tuna salad sandwich you ate 4 years ago.
  6. We refer to it as "Getting a thumbs up from the Rear Admiral". 40 is correct with family history unless you are showing signs of "issues" before that, than by all means get checked immeditately. My dad is a two time colon cancer survivor. His dad had it once, my brother is recovering now. My uncle on my moms side had it also so I have the good fortune of having double the chance. I had my first test at 40. When I was done, the Dr. walked in to the recovery room right in mid fart blast. He said, "I guess you don't need me to pull your finger huh?" I started laughing so hard it hurt.
  7. I think he is 35. But I think Fowler and Gandy and Royal to some extent provide leadership to the Oline. If he is dirt cheap he is worth a look see, but I suspect the Bills have had their fill of veteran Guards that don't work out. (i.e....Bennie Anderson, Tutan Reyes).
  8. yes..i heard Marv say that Duke Preston needs to step up. What's your point?
  9. This was the first thing I thought of when I read the first post.
  10. Has anyone heard any whispers about resigning Gandy? Just for kicks and giggles; Potential Depth Charts: LT Peters / Pennington LG Dielman / Merz / Preston C Fowler / Merz / Preston RG Gandy / Butler / Preston RT 2nd Round Pick / Pennington / Butler I personally think Preston will be cut. This will be his third year and if he doesn't come out and challenge for a starting spot he will be let go.
  11. With all I have read in recent weeks I highly doubt the Bills are in the running for Dielman's services, but he sure would be a nice gift to find wrapped neatly under the Christmas tree next week. I don't know if it would make a lot of difference but has he been playing RG or LG? And are their scouting reports that state he would be able to play the opposite side of where he has been?
  12. 4 hour award show for people that make a living by playing make believe? Nope....I missed it.
  13. I think there are a number of teams that make sense to make a play for Willis. However they won't do anything with regard to giving up draft pick(s) unless they can negotiate something beyond this year. I suspect the best play for Willis would be to not get traded and not sign any extension. Then play this year for a big contract next year. The only downside would be if he played a big year and the Bills tagged him. That would suck for Willis. Teams I think make sense for him just based on their need: (I don't know enough to know what their current cap space is). Cleveland Houston Denver Raiders (if they cut or release LaMont Jordan...which again, I have no idea what that would cost them) Giants Packers Ravens A couple of teams that might be a good fit even though they seem "set" at RB but would make sense: Eagles - Westbrook has a hard time staying healthy and would create a great backfield (McGahee, Westbrook, McNabb) Vikings - They have Chester Taylor, but teaming him with Willis would be pretty interesting. Panthers - They have no idea what they have with DeAngelo Williams and DeShaun Foster. However they don't have the cap space for Willis. Bucaneers - Caddilac Williams? He tore off the best first 5 weeks of any rookie in NFL History, then ppppfffft. Seahawks - Alexander won't last forever, and Mo Morris proved he is not the answer as a back up. IRONIC Possibiblity: The Titans. Apparently the deal for Travis Henry is on the skids, how would Travis feel if he got dumped twice for WM?
  14. i enjoy your posts but this isn't going to happen. if any team in the NFL offers the Bills a 5th rounder for Tim Anderson, I will eat a dozen apples and sh-- you a fruit salad.
  15. what is funny is that last year at this time there were hundreds of posts from Bills fans saying if given the opportunity late to tank their season they should do so for the opportunity to land Quinn with the #1 overall pick.
  16. thats not saying much....two years ago the Seahawks and Colts couldn't get anyone to offer a thrid rounder for Shaun Alexander and Edgerin James.

  18. i don't know..i think he is more inclined to focus on business if and when he retires as a player.
  19. i managed 10/12 but i also didn't finish within 2 minutes.
  20. i don't think they should have traded him last year, i think they should have signed him long term last year. they paid him 7.2 million last year. if they were to franchise him again this year, it would be 8.7 million. thats 15.9 million guaranteed, where as last year, they could have gotten with a signing bonus in the 12 million range, (and used the remaining 3.9 million to sign him to a 4 year contract. yeah, through this plan they would still have to pay out 8.7 mil more this year but, that is a top player, (no...not a shut down corner...but a top player) locked up and with McGee, Witner, and Simpson signed, they would not have had to give a lot of attention to the defensive backfield for at least a few more years. potential injuries not withstanding. NOW...8.7 million is only a fraction of what he is looking for.

  23. check out www.budtv.com you have to register as a user, but it is worth it if you are needing your Vic Mackey fix! Season Premier coming April 3rd.
  24. this has left me scratching my head. if Ralph is worried about money, and if something happens in the area of "money sharing" among the owners it is more likely to happen down the road rather than right now.....why wouldn't he amoritize the bonuses? Makes no sense to me.
