this is an arguement that could go in endless circles... people piss and moan because intelligence missed the hijackers and were not acted on. people then turn around and piss and moan because the intelligence was acted on regarding WMD's but was wrong. what happens when intelligence is wrong regarding terror threats??? people piss and moan because they think the current administration is playing on the fears of the people. Bill Gertz was on Michael Savage last night talking about this. My response would be....that if these guys had come into the country and we didn't know it there would be a problem. But since the "intelligence" community is aware of it, they must be on top of it. No?

I can't believe the Democrats are in such an outcry over the decision of Sinclair Broadcasting to run this hate/rant nonsense of John Kerry. Yet there wasn't a peep out of the Republicans regarding the hack job PBS did on Frontline last night. To believe what they reported: Bush Bad Devil Kerry Angel of Light God I cannot wait until Nov. 3rd!!!

I think Kerry will do a bit better. and i think it all comes down to what they are doing today. Kerry is being kept in today resting and preparing for the debate. Bush is out campaigning in Colorado and areas of New Mexico. The day before and the day of the Florida debate GWB was siteseeing the devastation of Florida while Kerry was preparing. And it was clear that Bush was not on his "A- Game".

Last night on HBO they showed the follow up to Alexandra Pelosi's TV Doc. "Journey's with George". This time around it was her following the Dem. Candidates around through Iowa, New Hamshire, New York and so on. There was one scene where I actually felt bad for John Kerry. He was in an auditorium somewhere having to listen to some hack sing through some rehersal. Before a fund raising event. It was awful, yet old John kept his chin up and did well to look interested. The one thing the movie revealed is just how much these guys REALLY sell their souls to run for Preisdent.

i don't think he has the appeal nationally. certainly not equal to Rudy G. was it a mistake for the Republican Party to select Cheney 4 years ago if they new he had no aspirtations to run in 2008?

not that it matters or that i want to prolong the topic....but I read the attached article and I don't see where it says anything about moving away from a type of Christian faith and and coming back to it in some sort of higher level.

Looking into the crystal ball.....What are the thoughts here? If Kerry loses this election I have little doubt Hillary will get the nod in 2008. Do the Dem's have any other choices? Howard Dean again maybe? If Bush loses, who will be the front runner for the repubs? Will they go with Liberal Candidates Guliani? Pataki? Or hard right conservative Frist? Any other choices?

sorry to get away from the topic of the thread but... as a born again christian....i have no idea what you are talking about when you say what you have stated here.

Bush: "That last response almost makes me want to scowl". He got hammered by his own people over the last week. "Don't slouch" "Don't scowl" "Smile while the devil tells lies about you to America" "Don't repeat yoursrself" "Be on the attack but do it kindly" Bush managed to not repeat the superficial mistakes he made in the debate last week. Kerry looked a bit less sharp as he wasn't getting a "WOW" response from the audience I think he was looking for. I gave the first debate to Kerry I give this one to Bush And AD...these debates have never been about substance. Since Kennedy and Nixon they have always been about "presence, appeal, and confidence". And that is exactly what the American People look for today. Because when you get right down to the nitty gritty....people know that it doesn't matter who they vote for, they are still going to get the same big bag of non-production. So they vote for the guy they think they can tolerate more doing nothing in Washington.
