apparently Derek Jeter was in Rochester last night for a bachelor party of a local guy he roomed with in the minors. there was speculation that he "might" show up at one of a few different joints. the local radio just reported that some folks were mad because they paid as much as a $50. cover to "maybe" see Jeter at one of these places where he never showed up to. what was it P.T. Barnum said about suckers?????

Sort of off topic but close enough: Rich Little. I was just in the 9th or 10th grade. I thought he was the greatest. I met him, and I hated him. He was a total turd. About 3 years later I had an opportunity to meet one of my all time favorites - Bob Hope. My mom convinced me to pass on the opportunity because i didn't want to find out he was a jerk. In hind sight....i kick myself everytime i think about it because it would have just been really neat to meet the guy.

I don't wish ill will to anyone. Not even Bill Maher who although he might make me laugh "sometimes"...he really annoys me. however.....this woman looks like he.....errrr...she would be able to handle herself just fine. i ran this by my wife this evening and she made a good point. the folks ringing the bells never (at least where i live) ask for a donation.... maybe the complaints would be minimal if the stores allowed the bell ringers to set up within a certain distance from the entrance and/or exit? rather than right on top of the door. it is nothing like being accosted boy Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts at Wal-Mart when they are selling their stuff. Going in and coming out.

I heard a local report today that Target and Kohl's will not allow the Salvation Army to have their "kettle ringing campaign" in front of their stores this year. is this a local deal in Rochester or a National thingy?

i think from your list that only Alexander and James are better options. And i think they will both end up back with their current teams. Other than that...I see Henry being better than Johnson, Thomas, and Jordan. IMHO

nice article...the kind of thing i put in a folder and pull out in March when i am dying for fantasy football info. however they forgot to list Rudi Johnson....and i think he will be the main RB that will prevent the Bills from getting a top draft pick for Travis Henry....since Johnson will likely be signed by one of those teams before Henry is delt for a draft pick. IMHO

i saw a picture on this "honor guard" thingy. and i just couldn't help but think of how opposite it is to what the scene will be like when his coffin gets carried down a dirt street someplace in the Middle East with a bunch of wailing followers in streets as his body tumbles out of the box...and ....well..you get the idea.

please don't take this as an attack or a judgement...and this is not directed at Aussie either...i am just using her post in general.
