  1. This has been on my mind for a long time. I meant to bring it up a few weeks ago. The NFL keeps shooting itself in the foot. A team like the Baltimore Ravens for example spends years building a powerful defense, and the NFL comes along with one swipe and screws them with enforcing this 5 yard no contact rule on defenses. Yeah...sure, it's been on the books, but they decide to enforce it this year? The NFL did this to open up the game a bit for offenses. But why would they screw a few good teams who have spent time building quality defenses? If they are looking to find a place in the game to help offenses...how about cutting the Offensive holding penalty to 5 yards. The 10 yarder is SUCH a DRIVE KILLER!
  2. i bet if you only saw a shadow of Mike Tice's head you would swear you were looking at a shadow of Homer Simpson.
  3. Here are a few names SportingNews.com lists as potential Free Agent pickups for the Bills: FREE AGENT BUZZ: It appears unlikely the team will be able to afford to re-sign free agent LT Jonas Jennings. No. 3 OT Marcus Price, another free agent, might come back, but more depth is needed. Indianapolis' Ryan Diem, Detroit's Stockar McDougle or New Orleans' Victor Riley are young players who would have to make transition to left side. The Bills had a revolving door at left guard before settling on Ross Tucker. Green Bay's Marco Rivera or New England's Joe Andruzzi would be an upgrade at the position, but their asking price might be too high. Baltimore's Casey Rabach or Bennie Anderson, St. Louis' Chris Dishman, Tampa Bay's Cosey Coleman, Seattle's Chris Gray or Philadelphia's Jermane Mayberry might be more affordable options. Tight end is an uncertainty with Mark Campbell and Tim Euhus coming off reconstructive knee surgeries and Ryan Neufeld heading toward free agency. The Jets' Anthony Becht may be a little pricey, but his receiving skills would work well in Bills' offense. Minnesota's Jermaine Wiggins and St. Louis' Cam Cleeland are aging, but either could provide insurance if injured players don't recover quickly. I higlighted guys.... I think...I think ....would be good adds.
  4. after reading TD's comments....the one thing i am beginning to be reminded of is how devastating JP's broken leg was. missing all the practice time...and then to hear how he began to look like things were beginning to click the final month of the season (albeit in practice). does anyone have Troy Vincent's home address?
  5. i'm sorry....but just how many "faux" conservative Americans voted for Bush? My guess is probabaly enough to consider the party not hijacked.
  6. From the front page of TBD.....(for some of you that never leave the message board.) Woman Rants over Jim Kelly being called a hero
  7. some threads...i just shouldn't click on...
  8. the oldies are great... The Longest Yard North Dallas Forty.... but the best Football movie? It ain't even close: RUDY.
  9. sorry....actually the most important thing to me when i get that is rest...so i always take cherry flavor Wegmans brand Nyquil. I take the little cup thing and fill it right to the top. then...if i still feel like crap the next morning...i call in sick and go see the Doc.
  10. isn't there a TSW rule that this thread can only run between March and June?
  11. yeah....what he said. (sorry...i hadn't gotten to this post before i posted mine above.)
  12. hows about you assert yourself a bit and present your ideas before this other hump opens his piehole?
  13. Debating Electoral College Votes what purpose does this really serve and at what cost? are they doing this just so they can say....for another 4 years "Oh...Bush didn't really win in '04 either!" sounds like they are just looking for what amounts to be a private 2 hour circle jerk.
  14. a-hem...(cough cough)....Boston College.....(cough...cough)....
  15. IMHO... i think TE. however...the top TE's that can come in and contribute right away are Blue Chip prospects that are gone in the first 20 picks of the first round. so...if the Bills address that need, I think it will have to be through FA. If the Bills lose Jennings and/or Pat Williams, there is no question they have to fill those positions with a second round pick first and foremost.
  16. well..i know they wouldn't get anything from the teams that potentially sign them. and i think they could get at least a 4th for each if they are starters through the NFL "Compensatory Draft Pick" program thingy.
  17. The Bills could lose Jennings and Williams without compensation? Or would they get compensatory draft picks? If so,....how does it work? Would they be able to get more than one draft pick per player? OR is it just one pick? And what round?
  18. the Bills are Drew's team.... ...or didn't you guys hear his press conf. on Monday?
  19. this is just silly. do you know that probably 99% of all preseason publications predicted the Chargers would finish last in the AFC this year? Not the AFC West....but the entire AFC. I know the Chargers havn't made it to the Super Bowl yet...but the point is....you can't judge success and failures from one season to predict the next.
  20. he might be...but he also isn't setting the world on fire in Seattle. I think if he loses to the Rams at home this weekend he is as good as gone...but i also think he and Paul Allen might sit down and decide to have a friendly mutual parting of the ways.
  21. it's not so much Erickson...although he is a really bad coach....as it is Terry Donahue. That guy has an ego bigger than George Stienbrenner.....and should have been gone long ago. having said that....i think if they do wack Donahue next you can expect to see Dwight Clark be the GM and Holmgren come over and be the HC.
  22. this is exactly why it is worth .99 per song. and i don't know where you are buying $12. CD's but most new releases are $15+
