  1. i hope you guys are wrong about Scott. i agree he doesn't have the teenie bopper appeal, but i think he comes from a tough background an I hope he gets into the top 12. i do agree that he has not raised his game over the past two weeks and if he gets into the top 12, he will need to do something to get the audiences' attention.
  2. i actually love to read. and as i get older i enjoy it more. but, if you think i have the time to read those books? Holy Cow! I actually didn't dislike the movies. Otherwise I wouldn't have sat through all three in one weekend. My niece owns the series on DVD, and has been asking me to watch them for the past year so she could have someone to talk to about them. I will probably watch them all again. I just don't know that i want a 16 year old LOTR nerd yapping my ear off for hours on end every time i see her.
  3. there was one main character...the guy who was actually a normal man. i don't think i ever caught what his name was in nearly 10 hours of the three movies. another thing i never heard....what were those creepy looking enemy monsters called? the ones with really bad dental hygene? these movies were so unsorted with so little consistancy.... are you supposed to have to watch them twice to understand them?
  4. Did the producers of this show tell the judges they HAD TO be nice??? Good grief! Some of these guys sounded terrible and were getting some kind remarks from the judges. Constantine was HORRIBLE! If Paula Abdula Mohammed says one of these guys gives her goose bumps one more time i just might puke.
  5. Browns; Coleman Agree to Contract Tue Mar 8, 2005 ESPN reports the Cleveland Browns have reached contract agreement with free-agent OG Cosey Coleman (Bucs), a five-year veteran. The Tampa Tribune adds Coleman finalized a two-year deal with Cleveland that included a $500,000 signing bonus and could be worth as much as $3 million. I am not one to think we should bring in every possible FA player,...and I don't know that much about Coleman, but it would be nice if DeMulling were this affordable.
  6. Good Episode last night! A few good story lines. Have we seen the last of Driscoll? Since it is only 24 hours, it is possible, but it seems odd that all of a sudden she is gone. Will Curtis cause disruption because he was passed over? Will Sarah cause disruption because she was promised so much from Driscoll? Funny that all of a sudden Tony and Edgar are best buddies. No siting of Dina Araz and her son last night. It will be interesting to see what happens to the encrypted report that Paul and Jack printed.
  7. would i be interested in Burress? nope. if in "cheap" standards, there are more greater needs.
  8. save me the hassle and just tell me if it says something to the effect of: " I am happy to be a part of the Buffalo Bills football orgainzation?"
  9. you got a like a guy whose middle name is "Elwood" !
  10. i would rather have a stud vet LT.
  11. if the Bills were to trade Clements, i would rather they trade him for a stud LT.....Pace, or Ogden, rather than trade him for a pick. I know that won't happen,....I just wanted you to know how i really fell.
  12. i'm putting you on ignore until you reinstate the George Costanza avatar.
  13. i would be super pissed if they had traded Nate and got that low into the first round and didn't address a more glaring need than WR.
  14. just heard on the local sports talk; he isn't playing because he got into it with Boehiem during the Boston College game....also....more off court personal problems? this guy is a tragedy waiting to happen. So much promise,....and so little to show for it.
  15. that will be a big time "TAG" situation.
  16. or wait for the Cards to cut LJ and then sign him in what could be a minor bidding war with a handful of teams. that would allow the Bills to hold onto Travis and trade him to some desparate team whose starting tailback blows out a knee in training camp. sounds like a good plan.
  17. please folks! stop suggesting we give up a draft pick for LJ Shelton. There are NO other teams falling all over themselves to offer a trade to the Cardinals for him. why do you suppose that is? if he is so good and so affordable? and some of you want to throw a 3rd rounder out there for him???? I think it would be great if we could swing this deal; Travis for LJ straight up. Slap in in either at LT, LG, or RT. sign DeMulling,.....and if TD thinks there is no way to resign Nate before the end of the season, (which i would prefer they sign him to a long term deal if they can manage the camp effectively) then good god...if we can get a #1 pick for him right now? Giddy'up!
  18. I put the following question to the Colts fans on a message board: Apparently the Bills are having Rick DeMulling in for a look-n-see. Will Colts fans be bummed to see him go? Or will they think they are losing an avg. OG? Here is the interesting reply: First and foremost, the guard position is probably the easiest position to replace in the NFL. The Colts are obviously using this idealology with DeMulling. When the Colts franchised Edge and signed Ryan Diem to a monster deal, DeMulling was all but gone. The final nail in DeMullings' coffin was the tendering of Situpe Peko. The Colts now have Peko and Ryan Lilja as capable fill-in's for DeMulling. DeMulling was originally a 7th-round pick in the '01 draft. The mere fact that he's starting is an ode to his ability. With that being said, the OL for the Colts gets a little more credit than they deserve. Next to Brett Favre, Peyton Manning has one of the quickest releases in football. He has been sacked only 31 times over his past 32 regular-season games. These low sack totals create the mirage that the Colts' OL is amazing. Good, yes. Amazing, no. The Chiefs' OL is amazing. Whoever signs DeMulling will be netting a solid guard. However, they will probably also overpay based on the perceived success of IND's OL from the last two years.
  19. not really a monologue, and i don't have copy of it or a link to it.... ...but if you have ever seen the movie "Swingers" when the guy tries to call the girl about 20 times and each time the answering machine beeps on him because his message time runs out. and then the girl finally picks up on the 20th call and says, "don't ever call me again." ooooooooooo...man....i can feel that guys pain. i have never been there. but i could just really sympathize.
  20. The Niners have the #1 pick in the draft. Let's say they take the best available QB....whoever that might be on draft day. I doubt they would be willing to give up the 1st pick in the second round...but the 1st pick in the 3rd round would be pretty sweet deal. Since I think Kevan Barlow wore out his welcome last year. the other thought that comes to mind....is pulling Travis off the block altogether....and wait until the injuries start hitting NFL teams in preseason games and the first couple of weeks of the season. Then hang him out there for a definate 2nd rounder or a late first rounder in 2006.
  21. This is one of the most entertaining threads of the week! Everybody on the board is an expert and everyone at OBD is a retard.
