a friend of mine at Ft. Wainwrigt is a chinook pilot. He had his first accident in his 22 years of service while in Iraq two months ago....and has decided to go back even though the Dr's have given him "clearance" to make a decision to stay in the states or go back. the conversation i had with him was very sad. the things young men and women....not that it only effects the young....but the things experienced in the time of war will be burned into their being forever. the fact that some people think that once the war is over and our servicemen and women return home means their sacrafice is over is a big mistake.

this brings me to a different topic....no..i don't justify Cheney letting the F-Bomb fly....but I watched the HBO doc. on Air America. And I watch a little bit of Bill Maher.....(when sticking forks in my eyes is the only other option)...is it just me or do Liberals really have a limited vocabulary? I can see a doc. being made on O'Reilly and/or Hannity.....and yeah maybe someone would probably be a little crude....but on these other programs the Libs are just really really bad taste.

I have watched it the last couple weeks.....between American Idol and The Shield. It is growing on me. The lead character has some pretty funny cynical comments.

Last week was quite good when Julian pulled the white guy out of the car and busted him for a minor violation. Showing the white cops what they are putting the blacks through. I don't remember a tv show ever presenting the blacks side of racisim so well and making the point so clearly. Last night.....man oh man oh man! Acaveda getting in deeper and deeper with the hooker and actually getting Julian to run the plates on her other John. When he falls, it will be the best episode of the season. It actually looks like next week he is almost busted while sitting outside the hookers house. (?) Officer Danny Sofer gettin' jiggy with Vic in the car. I figured Shane would come to his senses when he got in too far over his head. The problem will be convincing the other guys on the Strike Force that he is sincerely looking to get out of Antoine's crew. He is going to have to get Lem to trust him again....AND NOW...they will have IAD undercover on the strike force.

is am of this opinion also. I like Favre....but,..when it comes to how much another player makes and how they go about getting to that dollar....is none of his business. i know it is his business in that he wants to win...and they need Walker to have a good year to be successful, but i hate when a big name player dogs a teammate in the press about a contract.

American Heritage Magazine also published a book on the Presidents. It gives about a 10 page history of each of the Presidents administrations. If you decide to back off your plan to read a full Biography of each....this is also great for leisure reading. Illustrated History of the Presidents

George Washington - "His Excellency" ***** <----- that is my 5 star rating! I was a big GW fan before I read this book. And I can honestly say it was very well balanced in providing his positive side as well has the arrogance he had...that made some in his day not like him. Sometimes as you read through it you will wonder how in the world the Colonists ever won the Revoltuion. Depending on your position of faith you may come to the conclusion that it was Gods divine providence that allowed the Americans to win....or you will believe that GW has the world's largest horshoe planted up his arse. GREAT BOOK!
