ok....but what power does Spector hold. why is it a problem to the Religous Right that Spector is pro-choice? what can he do to prevent a pro-life judge from getting past the committee? or is the the concern of the RR unfounded because he really has little or no power...if he simply oversees the committee?

as Senate Judiciary Chairman....can someone explain to me exactly what roll Arlen Spector plays in the acceptance or rejection of Bush's choice to fill O'Connor's seat?

if Travis is traded, then it is definately McGahee. JP MUST have an experienced RB in the backfield to keep him in the upright position....and keep defenses somewhat honest. i know Travis might not be the best pass blocker, but he would be better back there then other names i see on the depth chart. so, if McGahee goes down and Travis isn't there to come in....the Bills would be in a world of hurt. -
being from Rochester i don't listen to WGR...and i know a lot of people in Buffalo are down on Schopp. When he was on in Rochester (WHTK) I enjoyed listening to him. i thought he was very solid. i like a sports talk show that will bring other entertainment topics into conversation. Afterall...sports is entertainment. Tony Kornhieser is a master at it. Although I would have no interest in talking about a program such as "Dancing with the Stars",....(never heard of it actually), i find a segment on the good TV show more entertaining than the same old rant. in Rochester we have Brad Davies and Bob Matthews. I know some people are devoted fans of both. I can't stand listening to either of them. Mattews simply repeats everything he reads in The Sporting News or Sports Illustrated...or worse what he hears some no-talent talking head say on ESPN. Brad Davies has the same morons call in day after day after day after day to talk about the Yankees. GAG!

You can also change from 10 team leagues to 12 team leagues and also change if a TE is required or not. Since June 1st, in 10 Team Leagues where you have a flex position with no TE required, Terrell Owen's ADP is 2.04

if Fred Taylor is unable to play at all this year...(which i do not know what the chances of that are)....i wonder what his cap hit to the Jags would be if they cut him. Travis Henry's stats in 2002 and 2004 are very comprable to Fred Taylors in that same two year period. I hope for Travis' sake he goes to Jacksonville. I like the guy, and I hope he has a great year as long as he doesn't come back an haunt the Bills.

To me personally it is not offensive. I was at a Community July 4th Celebration in Albany yesterday (Clifton Park to be exact), and there were a few thousand folks there. Maybe a couple thousand in the immediate vicininty where a band was playing. they played two sets and when they started the second set they opened with Hendrix' version of the National Anthem. As i was walking back to my seat, i heard more than a few people saying, "this is offensive". I am just curious. Is it that the version of the song was offensive? Or was it maybe not the best setting for the band to choose to play it?

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence? Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War. They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. -
this is why i think it was funny Teddy Kennedy put his martini down long enough to go on a rant today....almost as if to say,....(yes...i know i am putting words in his mouth )... "...don't bring that middle of the road candidate before the senate. he is an extreme hard line conservative." meanwhile hardline conservatives are getting ready to blast Bush if Gonzalez is his choice due to his moderate social position. O'Connor's replacement hearings are going to be a battle like the invasion of Grenada compared to the Renquist replacement hearings that will be like the invasion of normandy. you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Put your Hot Pockets back in the freezer long enough to read the text of the DoI. What are your thoughts of this document? The unanimous Declartaion of the thirteen united States of America i personally am impressed by the final line, "we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor." Is that somehow a part of the oath of office for anyone taking office? I am curious what the percentage of representatives in our current Congress that would make this declaration.

so i was watching the the ABC News report on Sandra Day O'Connor. I typically never have the TV on in the office but for special news reports i like to tune in. after the news report they went back to their regular programing which as luck would have it ( ) was "The View" and todays guest? Tom Cruise. This guy along with his child co-star and the other goofy guy...."Nuke LaLoosh" (tim robbins for those that forgot) are sitting there just so PHONEY. AAAGGGHHH! Then these guys mixed in with the yenta's sitting all around fawning all over them like they are something special. I am waiting to see if Cruise is going to go into a rant about Scientology or if the producers of the program are steering the conversation away from the topic. I don't hate any of them individually, i just hate the culture of Hollywood. It makes me gag.
