With out a doubt .......... if we are not destined to make the playoffs, I want a hard fought game against the Squeelers 1st team with the Bills pulling out a victory in the final seconds of the game. Then I want the team to take the lesson that their slow start cost them a playoff spot to heart and use that as a motivation to start next season like they ended this season. However, I am NOT giving up on our playoff possibilities for this year ..... I still want Pittsburgh to play their 1st team ...... still want a hard fought game ..... still want the Bills to win at the final gun, but I want them in the playoffs as a team to be feared.

defense and special teams units can’t possible continue to play the way they have been. OK let's assume that this convoluted sorry assed excuse for logic is correct ..... if the defense and special teams can not continue their most exellent play ..... just because they can't play well forever ............ then I propose that Pittsburg can't keep up their winning ways either ............... so we're a lock to win that game ..... the 49ers just suck ..... enough said ........ even with our suckky QB ...... our 4th string RB ...... and our newly suckified defense and special teams ..... we can not ever reach the 49er levels of suckatude ......... so we are a lock to win that game too. Again, this isn't about who's dick is bigger, it's not about "my dad can beat up your dad", and it's not showing pride at a group dinner arguning over who has the privledge of paying the tab... Yes it is ........ it's competition, and I want to compete, if we're not good enough, then so be it. Now don't get me wrong, if in fact the steelers do start their third stringers I will not be upset, but that will mean we are going into the playoffs as a team that hasn't really beat a playoff team, it can't be said we are a team capable of playing at "playoff level". If we get our butts handed to us that first game we really can't say ......... Oh well, we had a good enough season to make the playoffs, they were just better than us today ...... all we need is a few "tweeks" here and there and we're ready to go next year.

Actually I am a bit of a chickenshit ......... the Steeler game scares the heck out of me, to be honest so does the 49er game, EVERY game scares me until the final gun sounds. That doesn't mean that I want to get into the playoffs because somebody laid down. No free passes here ...... I want to kick down the door into the playoffs ....... I want the teams sceduled to play us actually scared because we are playing lights out football, I don't want them laughing because we are the weak sister team only there because we snuck in.

When I had my direcTV installed I thought that TiVo was just a gimmick VCR replacement, so I declined a Digital recorder upgrade for a few bucks ..... to make a long story short ........ after finding out what TiVo could actually do I decided I couldn't live without it. Problem was, instead of getting a reciever/recorder combo, I just got the recorder ....... I still love it ...... BUT .... without the combo unit, you can't record one channel while watching another, which would be a big plus. I recommend going with the direcTV reciever/recorder combo .... you will not regret it.

While I agree ICE is a bit over the top with his response ..... it seems to me FFS just wants to B word about something .......... and to be bitching without even reading the article is a clear indication that the post wasn't a declaration of FFS's feelings about the military being "dissed" but was all about wanting to B word about something.

Thats why I always thought the San Diego Chargers would never move to LA because the Chargers do have a strong tradition in San Diego. Actually the Chargers started in LA ...... so tradition wise it would just be a matter of what goes around, comes around.

Just think how bad this line would have been if McNalley hadn't come to Buffalo.

Because ....... on any given Sunday ...... yada .. yada .. yada. Because we have a stout Defense that can keep us in the game. Contrary to popular belief ...... we DO have some talent on the offense. Even a blind squrrel will find a nut every once in a while. At this point of the season .... beating Buffalo is the LEAST of the Pats worries, where as winning a game ...... any game ...... is a BIG issue with Buffalo. We can get it done ...... we can get it done ...... what's more is we GOTTA get it done!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong ...... I honestly think NE is the better team at this point in the season ......... and all things equal, we should get our butts spanked ....... but we DO have a chance.

IMHO ....... We are as bad as we think we are THIS YEAR in as much as we were as good as we thought we were after week two LAST YEAR. If memory serves me right ......... everyone and their brother thought we were going to the Super Bowl with an undefeated record last year at this point.

Power was just restored here ......... we're very VERY lucky, Florida sucks with no air conditioning (especially when the fridge don't work so your beer is warm) Some people will be without power for days ...... if not weeks. It's still too windy to get up on the roof to realign the dish, so football is out of the question for a few hours (unless I can talk the wife into going up there). Property wise, the last hurricane blew everything down that Could be blown down, so this one didn't do much damage. Neighbors on each side of me lost about half of their roofs (I only lost a handfull of shingles ..... so I'm happy)
