inactive???????????? What the hells up with that ............ do I sense a "meltdown" at one bills drive in the near future?

What has me bothered is ........ does this "line shuffling" really to make the team better ........ or is it another symptom that indicates the coaching staff is clueless in how to build and develope a line (both offensive and defensive). I'm sorry, but I just refuse to believe that we have a DT on our roster "better" than Sam Adams. And give me a break ....... our highly paid LT of the future (you don't draft RT as a top 5 pick) who can't handle RT at a consistantly high level shifted to LG (where we had a free agent pickup playing who seemingly doesn't belong in the NFL). We've replaced this LT/RT/LG with an undrafted free agent TE.

Hypothetical answer ....................... assume big Mike was not on the roster .... would we be willing go out and get a good/great left guard and make him the highest paid member of the team???? In Mike's defense .......... the situation is what it is ....... he is getting paid what the organization thought he'd be worth for some reason or another (I think the brain trust thought he would easily convert to a dominating LT therefore his "price tag" would be reasonable). I just don't know what would motivate him to take a paycut, so if it will take an unpalitable cap hit to get rid of him, I think we're stuck with the hope he starts to dominate whereever he plays.

I read somewhere .... I can't remember where so I don't know how accurate it is .... that Williams is the highest paid player on the team. Now I'm no capologist .... but exactly what would motivate him to take a pay cut .... especially if the cap hit would prevent the Bills from getting rid of him. Also what happens if we finnally get a "good" LT, and he demands "LT type" money, and as an aside ...... shouldn't any of the "skill position" players who are up for a new contract expect to make as much (or more) than a guard???? And our guy Peters ...... playing for undrafted free agent money ..... if he is sucessful ..... can we say renegotiate ..... could we blame him ...... I see bad things in the not too distant future of this team ...... bad things

As fans it's easy for us to say the heck with this season, start JP to prepare him for the future ...... because our jobs do not hinge on the Bills win/loss record. I'm pretty sure TD/MM/and the rest of the staff would rather go 8 - 8 or 9 - 7 with a hope of a future, than go something like 4 - 12 and have JP ready for some other coaches "future".

THE QUESTION IS ................. Do we have a QB that is capable of throwing a pass close enough to a reciever that he may stand a chance to catch it?????

Years gone by when this board consisted more of indepth football talk, and the mature discussion of opinions Steve Christy used to post every once in a while. A cheerleader used to post, and to the best of my recolection a family member of one of the front office people would post occasionally. I would hazard a guess that a few players/coaches/front office people would or do look in from time to time ........ however ....... since the board has turned into a "smack fest insult-o-rama" and the focus point for "he sucks" "he should get fired/cut" , and "he's a cancer" type of posts only occasionally interspersed with enlightened football discussion, I would think word would get out that we have very little to offer those REALLY on the inside.

But so far we have him "learning" to be a TE ...... and "learning" to be a LT .... and "learning" to be a RT .................. and not making any impact whatsoever at any of those positions. I guess what my point is ...... if we really wanted a LT "project", we should have brought in a legitimate LT to "learn". If we want him to "learn" how to be a TE .... why don't we leave him at TE and gleen a bit of playing time at the position. If memory serves me right .............. he had very limited playing time in college (1year???) and showed some promise so we took a flier on him on the chance to end up an Antonio Gates type of guy.

can somebody 'splain this whole Peters thing to a fan with little brain????? If I recall correctly he was an undrafted TE that we picked up ...... who doesn't seem to be able to crack into our "stellar" TE corps, so we are trying to convert him to a "kinda sorta LT prospect" ....... but may start this week as our RT. Is he really REALLY that versatile .... is he really REALLY that bad of a TE ...... are the Bills really REALLY that bad at O-Line depth???? or is it just another example of a clueless front office/coaching staff just reacting to situations by plugging in the first solution that pops into their mind???

Add a weak WEAK O-line, to a defense that gives up so many points it puts us into obvious passing situations, and you get to the point where the QB has to get the snap and chuck the ball.

What about all this talk from last week about a desperate team backed into a corner ....... a team that has just come off a bitter loss looking for blood ..... etc, etc, etc. I guess all of that just dosn't apply to a team that has attaianed such a high level of suckatude as our beloved Bills.

I don't care how motivated this team is, the front office couldn't run a model train, the game planning stinks, the coaching stinks, the defense stinks, the offense is just slightly less than mediocre, the uniforms are a horrible color combination, the cheerleaders are ugly. bottom line this years bills are just a poor poor team all around. If we can't beat a bad Raiders team with two injured DBs, and a half of a Moss ........ how the heck does anybody think we will beat a good team.

I LOVED the call ...... we are trying to play a field position game .... we either get six points or make them drive for 99 for a touchdown ......... and everybody knows we have the best "D" that the NFL has ever seen ........ oh wait a minute ... never the less ...... I still like the call

A couple of years with Michael Vick as your QB will do that to a reciever ..... that franchise has ruined quite a few promising recievers these last few years.

Well in the same vein ........ I guess that even if other teams defenses have better stats that the Bills defense is the best the NFL has ever seen ......... BS!!!!!! .......... in football stats are god ....... and at this point Mcgahee doesn't even warrent a mention in the same sentence as LT ...... as a bills fan I hope that he gets to the point where we can talk about him as one of the all time greats ..... but at this particular time he just needs to shut up and play.

I can put up with the "smack talk" from players who are playing great. I can even put up with a certian amount of smack talk from guys who were great. I just have problems with guys saying they are great before they've shown a glimmer of greatness.

At this point (and I can hear the howls of protest already) Willis hasn't proved he's better than Travis Henry ......... he needs to keep the "Better than LT" talk to a minimum. to borrow a phrase .......... just perform baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
