And I don't think the OP's question is about changing teams, it sounds like the kids doesn't want to be forced to watch football at all. I told my kid he didn't have to root for the Bills if he didn't want to, but he stayed and he's still with me at the games or on the couch every week. You don't like my way? Cool, but opinions are just that.

The fact that the kid had to go to his grandmother makes me think this is bad advice. If you force a kid to do something they don't want to you may succeed for the short term but they will ultimately end up resenting you, the Bills or both. Better to let them choose, imo.

I told my 13yo when I got this question after the 13 seconds game that he absolutely didn't have to be a Bills fan. I also reminded him that at the end of the day it's still just a game. Now he's more into it than ever.

Actually, the jobs that will be automated will likely include yours and mine. Who needs surgeons when a computer can do it far better? There is certainly going to be a shift of how work is done, who does it and when. But what that looks like is greatly up in the air.

I think you'd be surprised how many Rs are happy to support people who truly can't help themselves, they just resent the myriad of wasteful D policies that incent people not to work.
