  1. For what it's worth, another resident ESPN radio "moron" - Eric Kuselius - was about the only ESPN guy who stood up for Ralph. When Ralph was asked why he voted against the deal, he said that he didn't understand the deal and couldn't review it in the 45 minutes he was given - and sounded like an old codgery fool. Kuselius praised him, arguing that if you were a business owner and had just 45 minutes to make a major decision that affects everything you've built, you'd vote it down, too. Eric Kuselius was probably the only guy I've ever listened to on ESPN radio that actually took an unbiased stance on the issues. This is probably why he's nowhere to be found now.
  2. Well, they really do this now - it just hasn't happened (in the current format) where the #2 seed is a wild card. I don't mind the potential rule change too much, but I still think there should be some reward for winning your division...even if it's the NFC West. The only one I wouldn't want to see gone is the 5-yard facemask. Granted, your hand shouldn't be up by an opponent's face trying to tackle him, but that's hard to avoid all the time. I don't think a team should be penalized 15 yards for an accidental incident.
  3. Who's this Tim McGee we have on the roster already? Look at pick #113
  4. I would think THAT should get you the failed hard drive...
  5. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick two WRs, regardless of whether or not they extend Evans. Someone like Adrian Arrington could be waiting in the 3rd or 4th round. Also, if McFadden drops to 11, I hope they dangle him in front of Jerry Jones and get everything they can out of Dallas.
  6. The schedule looks tough now....but don't be surprised if we see that change in early November. Maybe Dallas, Pittsburgh, Baltimore will all be mediocre teams once they get on the field. You never know.
  7. Hopefully, the team won't embarrass us!! I'm utterly shocked that we got a Monday night game. Yeah, it's what the Sunday night package was, but it's Monday night!!
  8. It's because it's at New Orleans....it'll be a pre-season lovefest for Reggie Bush.
  9. Not a bad idea, but I can't see Marv doing this. If he could either draft the defensive player he wanted or get Julius in a trade (giving up said pick), he'd take that draft pick.
  10. The "experts" designate teams as free agency losers because they don't sign the marquis players. This is why an analysis of free agency signings isn't really worthwhile until late November....not late March.
  11. I don't even know if they love the Sabres. ESPN has been built into a network that only gives a crap about the big-market teams and sports they cover. 23.5 hours a day of basketball and the NFL (which isn't even in season) is all I need to know.
  12. This was probably the most honest (i.e., non-bashing of the Bills mgmt) assessment I've seen in a while. I'd also hesitate to say they're in "rebuilding mode", since the offense is now expected to perform. The defense is where my concerns are right now, unless it's addressed in the draft. Even so, it would still be a young defense that's learning on the job.
  13. I'll echo my thanks to Takeo, also. He earned my respect during his whole rehab process, which led me to buy his jersey. Good luck, Takeo! I hope you meet the Bills in the Superbowl soon.
  14. They should....I'm sure they've yet to update listeners on what Matsuzaka had for breakfast this morning.
  15. Too bad half of us can't watch it...
  16. Wow....2 hours to over-analyze games almost 4 weeks before the draft.
  17. Toss-up between Losman & Evans, but I'd go with Evans right now....he's been less complained-about than JP has.
  18. So.....what does this mean? Was the meeting cancelled by either party or did Dillon just not get into town? Either way, I'd rather have Willis than Corey Dillon.
  19. Just remember how many of us (myself included) felt when we traded for Bledsoe. This is probably the same thing the Ravens fans are thinking....then they'll get reality when Willis says they should move the team to Annapolis.
  20. It's his new way of saying "Next question!"
  21. The Jets got Jones AND A PICK for one of their own picks. How is this not robbery? Makes me wonder how much the Bears really thought of Jones - compared to Benson or their plans for the offense.
  22. OK....I'm sold. Sign him now.
  23. Talk about a tease....I thought you meant that Pasquarelli was predicting he'd end up with the Bills. Notice that none of these top 30 free agents are "projected" to sign with the Bills?
  24. This is why we shouldn't trade him now. I don't know if we'd have a chance at drafting a high-caliber RB this year and forget about a free agent. McFadden, Slaton, and Rice would all be worthwhile selections. But I'd still trade him now, while he has some worth. He clearly doesn't have the motivation to be here and has a slimy agent who just wants to get his money...where he can get anywhere but Buffalo, for all I care. I wouldn't be upset to see Willis go.
