How can you compare Watkins & BeckhamBuffaloWings replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Plus the Giants have a legitimate QB

And I think the Jax game might be in London...correct me if I'm wrong. Knowing our luck, all of these teams will actually be good next year.

Anyone watching the game today?BuffaloWings replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives This. I don't get to see the Bills very often, so I'll watch while flipping to RedZone.

I think this is why nobody is going anywhere. Whaley has gotten the pieces in place...they just need better OL and QB play. I hated some of Marrone's in-game decisions, too, but I can't imagine them changing things now. If nothing on the field changes next year, then it's time to move on.

Worst Choke Job of Last 15 YearsBuffaloWings replied to Oberyn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Steelers...all the BIlls had to do was win and rely on nobody else. They still needed a lot of help this year even if they did beat Oakland.

It didn't seem to me that the run game has been at its best...not a lot of yards, though a few tough yards when they've needed them. I don't think this is a bad thing at all. If CJ is healthy enough to be activated, them something tells Marrone & Hackett that he can contribute something. Besides, it's not like CJ would be featured over Freddy, Boobie, or Bryce, anyway. Probably just a handful of snaps - 2nd/3rd & long plays.

Updated: The AFC Playoff PictureBuffaloWings replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Since I don't want to thumb through 45 pages, I'll ask this (my apologies if it's been brought up already)... Is it true that if all three of Pittsburgh, Baltimore, AND Cincinnati win this weekend, then the Bills are out? That would put PIT & BAL at 10-5, Cincy at 10-4-1. If the Bills win in Oakland, they're still a game out at 9-6. I'm presuming there's no possible way to win a tiebreaker between any combination of two out of those three?

RIGHT NOW, I can only see DET-GB getting flexed. If the CIN-PIT game is for the division, I say that one gets flexed because Pittsburgh has a bigger national following. The Pats going for the #1 seed combined with the Bills trying to break the playoff drought is compelling, but I don't think it's enough to get them flexed. I see it more like the Bills-Pats gets moved to 4:00 because that's when Denver plays.

Updated: The AFC Playoff PictureBuffaloWings replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Doubt it. Belichick will play them until the game is out of control. I don't ever remember him resting his starters.

Its already started, the Bills were LuckyBuffaloWings replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives This. Both teams had their drops and good plays. The fact remains that the Bills still won. And they're still alive. That makes THREE meaningful games in December.

The Possibly Intriguing QB Trade MarketBuffaloWings replied to Bills Fan since '64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives I'd be willing to give Foles a shot, but I think his success is directly related to Chip Kelly's offense.

A Few Passing Thoughts About The Denver Game......BuffaloWings replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Run the ball and throw short, quick passes to keep possession and burn the clock. Keep the ball away from Denver's offense as much as possible and there's a chance. I agree about the knucklehead penalties - especially the ones on 3rd down that keep Denver's drives alive and kill ours. Stay disciplined and don't turn the ball over. It's all easier said than done, but I don't think it's complicated at all. There's no doubt that Peyton will move the ball and score. If the D can get a turnover or two, I think there's a chance to win. Miami gave them a game a couple weeks ago, but Denver just outscored them. The Bills can't get into a track meet.

Officially, it was abolished last year. Unofficially, it apparently still exists.

Does Buffalo at Denver get flexed?BuffaloWings replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives This. If anything, they'd flex it so that Fox shows the game and not CBS. No chance they get moved to Sunday night over Patriots-Chargers (especially when Denver was already on Sunday night this past week).

Updated: The AFC Playoff PictureBuffaloWings replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Just as our does...@Den and @NE is killer enough. At least we get Green Bay at home. What will help is that (barring any ties) Baltimore, San Diego, & Kansas City will each lose at least once, Miami has two tough games (Bal and @NE), Pittsburgh still has Cincy twice, and Cleveland has @Indy. This thing is still wide open. Right now, unless the Bills pull off an upset at Denver (who has shown they can be beaten) and beat Green Bay, we're looking at season #15 at home watching the playoffs.

I could have called that game better and I'm sure I get paid WAY less than they do.
-
I think this is true of almost any call...things like whether a receiver got both feet in bounds on a catch. They have become less decisive over the past few years and wait to confirm with another official before they make ANY call. It's as if they're afraid to get it wrong, yet they have replay to verify it. I don't get it...just make a call (as as you know it can be reviewed) and then figure out if it's right.
