  1. I said that after the New England game, when Rex had everyone psych themselves right out of their focus & discipline. I don't know WTF happened. They blew the doors off a bad Miami team, so maybe they got too confident? I still think there's a lack of player leadership. This isn't to gripe about cutting Freddy, but if he were here, I'll bet most of the penalties yesterday don't happen. No matter what, Rex needs to get these guys under control. The game could've been tied going into the 4th quarter if they didn't pull off stupid sh*t like they did.
  2. Agreed, but as the WR corps was getting thin, Kelly pleaded to put Tasker out there. He was then consistently beating the corners & safeties and getting open a lot.
  3. I think the Pats* figured they'd be more successful by throwing the ball than running it...and it showed. Brady* was shredding the defense, so why stop? And yes, the Bills blew out Miami, but they didn't run up the score. If Rex really wanted to do that, he'd have left Taylor in the game and kept running the same game plan that was successful in the first half. They were running the ball well enough to keep it away from the Fins and kill the clock.
  4. Sustained winning will generate such love.
  5. I went with Foles, but he only got me 1 point. Rivers got me 6, but it didn't matter - my opponent had Aaron Rodgers AND Jamaal Charles. I'm in trouble since I lost Dez Bryant and I mistakenly dropped Dion Lewis. My WRs aren't good now - Sammy Watkins, Nate Washington, Michael Floyd, Tavon Austin, Jermaine Kearse, & Mohammed Sanu and we're a PPR league. I'm low in the waiver list and I'm trying to get either Robert Woods or Malcolm Floyd this week.
  6. Right - I don't think there's any evidence that they've started out hot, then fizzled by the end of the regular season.
  7. I guess I'm too pessimistic.
  8. During training camp, I would have been thrilled with 1-1 after two games. Considering everyone's love for Miami, even 1-2 might not have been so bad. They're 2-1. Granted, the two are wins over what appears to be overrated teams (certainly Miami, but Indy might start picking things up again), but I'll take it. I want to be greedy and expect 4-1 by the time Cincinnati comes to town, but I'm more concerned about the Giants right now.
  9. Remember 2008 when we were all about Trent Edwards? I like what Taylor is doing, too, but we just finished week 3. Let's see how this all plays out before we consider him the next Peyton Manning.
  10. I was leaning that way, but I was just offered a trade: I give up Rivers and Tavon Austin for Marques Colston & Charles Clay. This is a PPR league and I need WRs badly (Dez Bryant was my first round pick and I have Sammy Watkins), but I already have Eric Ebron & Greg Olsen for TEs. Now that Brees is out, I'm leaning against this.
  11. For this week... Phillip Rivers or Nick Foles?
  12. Everything was great last week and now the sky is falling. Relax - 14 more games to go.
  13. I'm starting to think so, but time will tell. Their OL is a mess and their secondary is banged up. Luck can only do so much.
  14. Why did so many people think the Eagles were going to contend for the Superbowl? They traded for an injury-riddled QB and a MLB who was coming off an ACL injury and traded away their best offensive player. I picked the Seahawks & Colts in. Jets & Falcons out. I like Atlanta, but they were lucky to win both games.
  15. Brandon Marshall is a good enough playmaker and Eric Decker is a good #2 WR. You could even make the argument that Chris Ivory is a good #1 running back. I just want to see how long they can go with Fitz. As much as I love his effort & heart, you know he'll have a game where those forced throws turn into INTs all day. He won't keep this up.
  16. Just as the Phins are pissed about losing to Jacksonville. The team with more to be angry about will win this game.
  17. Right, so you'd think they wouldn't let people watch the game live with GamePass. I don't know if it was just the free trial, but I found no way to listen to the Colts game live. If there is a way, it wasn't very intuitive.
  18. So...you get to watch the games live? As in, not the replay the next day? The free trial didn't allow me to even watch or listen.
  19. I'm sure the radio thing helped their cause, too. This is what I was thinking. Gronkowski is just too hard to single cover. It's like you have to treat him like a WR playing the slot.
  20. My bad - I was using the wrong place to join the group. I tried joining under the Pick 'Em games and not the Survivor Game. Sorry for the wasted space!
  21. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this... I got the invite for the Survivor Picks game on Yahoo for the TBD group, but the password seems to be incorrect. Anyone else seeing this?
  22. I think they really screwed the pooch with it this year. $100 to watch any preseason game, watch any regular season game (but only after it's over), & listen to any game??? I just want to be able to pay the $30 and listen when I can't get the Bills on local TV.
  23. Can the league appeal this and send it to a higher court? I honestly think this is BS, but I also don't want it dragged out any longer.
  24. It's never easy to say what the backup can do unless he has significant playing time. It was never the case where Flacco was hurt or ineffective enough that Taylor got enough playing time to give anyone a sample of what he can do. But considering every Ravens player was happy for him, it tells me he's a well-liked guy in the locker room and likely one that can be a leader. We know he has the talent. As for EJ, I don't know anymore. The intent is to have Taylor be the guy for the immediate future, so why would we want EJ to win the job back? I haven't seen the "it" factor that elite QBs have in EJ since his rookie season.
