  1. I am growing less and less convinced that Denver is taking a QB in the 1st round.
  2. He's got 2 super bowl rings....or 2 more than any TE we have.
  3. I do...but in McDaniels' time in NE they have barely used the TE as a receiver. Their top 2 guys this year had 31 catches, and in 2007 it was 45 catches. Scheffler almost matches that production himself.
  4. He plays in Denver not New England. He's on the outs in Denver because McDaniels prefers blocking TEs and they have Daniel Graham, who is probably the best blocking TE in the NFL and just resigned the massive Jeb Putzier.
  5. I don't get this train of thought. If the Bills are willing to use a 1st on a young NFL ready tight end (Pettigrew), why not give up a 2nd for a proven, young, NFL ready tight end? Other than a 1st rounder, or multiple picks, I don't really care what the price tage is as long as we upgrade.
  6. True dat. The Gross (and Long) deals are what Peters is (reasonably IMHO) looking at as "comparables".
  7. He was high scorer in the game where Cleveland State beat Cuse. God that was a miracle shot (taken by Jackson not Bullock)
  8. I've actually seen more than a couple mocks with him dropping past Cleveland. At that point, all bets are off. I didn't think McKelvin would be there last year so stranger things have happened.
  9. I might say you've been drinking early in the day.
  10. You mean the guy who was considered a borderline top 10 pick until the steroid admission and then got taken 28th? He was right to go on record about it, but he cost himself millions in guaranteed money in the process.
  11. Rey's behavioral issues have nothing to do with a hamstring, and started well before the combine
  12. He's sinking like a stone, and there have been several articles just this week about his immaturity. Matthews, to me, would be a rock solid pick for the Bills. The bust factor is minimal.
  13. The Bills haven't lost anyone of actual value in free agency in years.
  14. Sometimes doing nothing is better than doing something inspirationally stupid. I think Nixon will back me up here.
  15. Step 1...Not get Cutler. He's the diabetic Drew Beldsoe.
  16. I would hope so, but given the de-emphasis on the FB in the NFL this kid might go undrafted. He's worth a 6 or 7 pick though, he can just plain block. Could contribute on ST as well.
  17. Even if they can, the pro-rated refund would be 1/18th of 4.9 million. Since the Bills can't get the 4.9, if that number changes to 4.5 is the county going to break out the checkbook?
  18. A guy on another board posted a link to Patriots.com schedule, which is since removed. They have the Bills lined up to play week 1 (which we knew) and week 17. FWIW.
  19. Who's gayer, the guy drinking reisling at 1pm, or the guy checking an NFL player's facebook page at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Tuesday? I say it's a push.
  20. I think so. I disagree with the mock author on one thing, Coffman may not have been asked to block much but when they asked he was just plain lousy at it. I also suspect that the coaches weren't using him to block much because they saw he couldn't do it well.
  21. This guy scares the heck out me. The risk factor might work for other teams, but the Bills would be better off with Cushing or Mathews who could make solid contibutions from day 1.
  22. I think we are in agreement, actually. If I had to live through the last 7 or 8 Raiders seasons, or 8 Matt Millen drafts I would have either stopped watching the NFL or had to seriously consider my allegance. At least Donahoe only got like 4.5 years. I will criticize Ralph on the coach hirings though. We should have hired John Fox when we had a chance.
  23. Bruschi was a college DE. There are tons of guys who have sucessfully made the transition.
