  1. Guy's been solid since he came back. The loss yesterday has very little to do with him. The game calling on both sides of the ball and the defensive intensity, or lack of, are the main issues.
  2. No, with the intent to pass. But, Carolina's secondary is pretty good and the recievers weren't getting open a lot.
  3. I even thought he was dead on with that INT, but Gamble just made a great break on the ball.
  4. It would be nice if he could complete a 5 step drop without a defender in his face.
  5. Not if it happened a couple weeks ago, as the story mentioned.
  6. My favorite is pretty much anything Warren Haynes has laid down over the last decade, but the Allmans did a version of Southbound (with old pianist Chuck Leavel, in town with the Stones) featuring a Warren solo that nearly brought tears to my eyes.
  7. Look no further than the game they had against the Jets, who have many of the same defensive weaknesses the Bills do. That game was ugly with a capital U, and they were on the road.
  8. And yet it does matter, because unlike LJ and Curtis Martin Tomlinson has a nose for the end zone. If he breaks a run on this defense, it's going to be 6 points. And while I think you can run all day on the SD defense, I don't think that the Bills have the firepower to get into a shootout with the Bolts and win.
  9. A confident attitude without the ability to back it up? Must be a Steeler.
  10. Why is he such a good guy? I know this is the conventional wisdom, but I have never seen any evidence of it. No one, and I mean no one, on that Steelers team has talked more pre-game trash than Ward in their multiple playoff thrashings by the Patriots.
  11. You could make a fortune by betting against Dan Marino's picks on CBS.
  12. I still contend that if the Bills 2005 defense was playing like the 2004 D we never would have seen Holcomb. They would pretty much be like the Bears are playing, actually.
  13. Which is a god damn joke. Peter King gives Wellington "my dad bought the team with bookie money" Mara a hummer on HBO last week and won't vote for Ralph. Silly. Sportswriters are more cliquish than 14 year old girls.
  14. Plus, they have a French Onion soup there that ain't bad. Back in college, my routine was to wake up around 11:45, get to the Distillery for the doors opening at noon, and catch the games.
  15. Oy if the Bills lose Sunday (and I suspect they will), this is going to be a miserable week 'round these parts.
  16. Not surprised, but I was still hoping it wouldn't happen.
  17. The Distillery is a damn fine place to watch any game.
  18. Not a good thing for the Bills run game.
  19. I think he's probably right. But, because of the defense. This defense is not a championship contender. I don't think this D can contend with New England, Cinci, Indy, etc. The offense is up and down, but the defense is a huge letdown after last year.
  20. Would someone wake up Van Pelt? I agree on Murphy.....he's no Van Miller but he's good.
  21. I was in the minority (not the vocal minority, but the minority) that wanted Lindell to stay. The kid was good in camp.
  22. It's moot, the season doesn't end today. But, it ain't a bad spot to be in after 6. If we can beat Oakland, we could still lose to NE in Foxboro and be tied up for first.
