  1. Dick Jauron is actually the native son of Swampscott, Massachusetts...which is about as far east from Chicago as you can get.
  2. I would much rather have Jauron than Haslett or Sherman. He got a raw deal in Chicago.
  3. Jauron was a coach of the year ferchrissakes.
  4. Except O lineman were 25 lbs lighter back then.
  5. Gregg Williams is only behind Haslett and Herm Edwards in making horrible game management calls (clock management, adjustments, playcalling). Horrific.
  6. Which big money results coaches are available. Belichick?? Parcells? Andy Reid??
  7. My only reservation would be hiring a 1st time head coach...again. I think a more seasoned vet might be in order.
  8. Smerlas and Ron Borges pretty much hate each other. They yell at each other every Sunday on Channel 7's sports show. I somehow don't see Borges taking anything Fred has to say at face value.
  9. I don't know about Friends.....but TD was a source.
  10. I wouldn't trust anything Ron Borges has to say about the Bills. Huge Donahoe guy. Also, check out last week's www.bostonsportsmediawatch.com for more on Borges' track record. Hardly exemplary.
  11. You shouldn't have to overspend to get Haslett. He's hardly lit the coaching world on fire.
  12. Well said. I am a fan of tailoring your scheme to fit your personell, not the other way around.
  13. How was Ted Thompson trying to save his own ass. Isn't this the end of his 1st year on the job? When was the last time a GM got fired after one year. The beginning of the end for Sherman was when he was stripped of the GM duties.
  14. Perhaps he can don a Superman costume and prance into the locker room, like his famous Coaches Gone Wild motivational technique in Cinci.
  15. Why would anyone, let alone the Bills, trade for TO when its a decent shot he'll get released and could be picked up for nothing. Plus, that Moss trade didn't provide a shot in the arm for Oakland.
  16. I actually think Kelsay could play the run better than he has...he's not getting a lot of action early in the downs. But, you're spot on about Schobel. Why neutralize what is your best defensive lineman's best skill set?
  17. To play NT in the 3-4 scheme you have to have foot speed and the ability to contain more than one guy for several seconds. Sam is beyond that, at his age.
  18. I don't see either Sam Adams at this point in his career or any other DT currently on our roster being able to properly handle the 2 gap system. Sam used to do it, but he seems to have lost some foot speed.
  19. I don't understand how he can get doubled so consistently and still be so damn good. Seattle better triple cover him.
  20. You're kidding right? I don't think there has been a blackout in Boston since 1993. 1 playoff loss isn't going to hurt the attendance. They've got a waiting list that most teams would kill for, including the Bills.
  21. I feel your joy my man. Of course, if the Bills didn't look as foolish as the Bengals did 5 years ago I might feel even better.
  22. Art Shell is an interesting guy to me. pretty good record, with some teams that were woefully unbalanced on talent in his later years.
  23. The difference being that Belichick went back to being a DC for several years, learned from his mistakes, and changed his coaching style. Haslett has been unemployed for 14 minutes.
  24. No 2 Bills players demonstrate the "inmates running the asylum" more than those guys. Plus, they have big cap numbers. I fully expect to see each of them elsewhere in 2006.
  25. Mike Tice is a wet dream compared to Hasslet.
