    Funny that Cason seems to be dropping vs. Jenkins, Roger-Cromartie, and that guy from Troy whose name escapes me. At the end of college football season, the mocks had him on the cusp of the top 10. The combine/pro days cloud this stuff to much for us fans.

    By my math, they gave out 21+ million (16 for Dockery, 5 for Walker and about 12 bucks for the other guy) against 28 mill in cap room. If they cut or traded spikes, they would gain another 3 million in room (his salary is 6, his hit is 3). Moving McGahee gives them another 1mill in room. That would put them at 10 millon.

    Good post. I watched a few Raiders games, and their offensive gameplanning was awful. Just a horrific mix of run/pass and way to many deep drops. I think this kid will pan out.

    According to the lists I have seen, he is not a free agent. I would rather see David Macklin than Harper, who consistently gets beat like a rented mule even with a good pass rush.

    Nice assesment, although I tend to think that a FA at DT might be in order. I like Williams, but I am not sure that right now he's an every down guy. If McCargo had been healthy, I think the combo would have been more effective.

    I don't think they will either. They will go after a LB with more size than Fletcher who can help around the line of scrimmage. The MLB from KC Kawika Mitchell interests me. He's has 2 back to back 100+ tackle seasons, he's young, and he's taller than Fletch (6'1"/243) vs (a liberal 5'10", 245).

    How exactly does Freeney help stop the run? This team was pretty good rushing the passer, they need run stuffers....which Freeney ain't.

    We're 40 million under the cap. If we don't use it on him, we'll have to overpay somebody else who isn't as good. There are way more buyers than sellers for Cornerbacks this year.
