    The pistons have cracked 100 points in 1 game out of 12 in the last 2 eastern conference final series. I am pretty sure Carmelo and his 24+ points per game career average would have helped.

    Ummm, this is the guy who passed on Carmelo to take Darko because "they already have Tayshaun Prince". Easily one of the worst draft moves since Sam Bowie over Jordan.

    That's why whenever people badmouth the NBA as all dunks and threes I just shake my head and give up. The defense played in the NBA vs college is in another world. There is almost no comparison, it's like NFL defenses vs. Arena league.

    Some are made in Ohio, some are assembled in Ontario (NAFTA). Oddly, I am pretty sure the percentage of North American parts on my new Fit is higher than the "American" equivalent.

    That kind of killed me, trading in my 2000 Xterra. I still got about 1,500 more than I owe...so I don't really care. The gas savings alone (going from 17 highway to 34) will more than make my payment. I read that locally that public transit ridership has gone through the roof. If that were at all an option for me I would do it.

    I have previously owned a Toyota, and my wife has a Honda. They are both bulletproof in my opinion. I chose to go with another Honda mostly because the local dealer is less than a mile from my house, and they are fantastic.

    And Ford is even worse. Ford is now claiming "to be equal in quality with Toyota" in their commercials. Initial quality. What really matters to most folks (given lemon laws) is long term quality and maintanence costs. I just bought a Honda Fit (waiting on it), my '06 Civic with 50K has cost almost nothing to run.

    I know that place, never stayed there. My family has a timeshare at the Hyatt Sunset Harbor. Definately eat at Rickey's Blue Heaven in Jamaica Villiage. Doesn't look like much, but the best food in the Keys....by far.

    The only thing I ever got from Lawrence Block was an audio book, read by the author. A voice made for the printed word. I should read some of his stuff. Agree on James Lee Burke, although his AA preachy-ness can get annoying in the Robecheaux novels.

    It's very sexualized for a father and daughter. Granted, it is Annie Liebowitz and she is known for being edgy, but if you are both the girl's manager and father (and no stranger to show business) you should know better.
