As long as the teams have the right to cut pretty much anyone at any time, I am not going to take issue with a player holding out to renegotiate. It's really their only move. All it takes is 1 play for these guys to lose their career, or even possibly their lives. I can't blame them for trying to maximize their earnings.

If we trade for Scheffler, the new deal will be done immediately...which may be why his agent was here. Plus, even after the TO & Florence signings the Bills are at least 20 mill under their self imposed cash to cap. Even budgeting for all the picks, they have some money to spend. I think the salary floor is 110 mill this season, so they actually have to spend more to get there.

Yeah, my impression is that he's a sub-par blocker (which is why they use Putzier/Graham so much in run blocking). But, if the Bills need to go out and get a blocking TE (either a FA or 2nd day of the draft) those are a lot easier to find.
