  1. Nice to see you back to thinking logically again 😛
  2. I watched all the PCs/interviews last night (as well as Bean's Chris Long interview) - one thing that stood out to me was a recurring theme of receivers individually or as a collective being very focused and willing to contribute any way they can - with lots of leadership and guys with different skill sets. Thought it was interesting too that Beane singled out Hollins as a "glue guy" that "brings everyone together" which leads me to think he has an inside track to be on the 53. At this point they really seem comfortable with the make-up of the WR room. Also thought it was a cool moment when Josh just lit up when MVS yelled something at him off screen during his PC.
  3. I was skimming and saw Josh and chubby and thought things were going to go in a different directon 😛
  4. I love that the schedule itself was just an afterthought
  5. Every year for the last 30+ yrs my brother and I have gone back to Buffalo to take my Dad to a game closest to his bday 10/4. This was the worst schedule for that I can ever remember. Did get in right away on TM and got my tix for 10/20 👍
  6. Shouldn't the thread title be "Jets tried to hire an actual OC"?
  7. This is I think an underrated piece that is not being discussed much. Coaching up this collection of new receivers to work on specific skills for each and get the most out of them individually, as well as form a new cohesive unit from so many new parts is going to take some good coaching. I assume Brady will be hands-on with this unit as well - but Adam Henry has a real opportunity to show what he can do. https://www.buffalobills.com/team/coaches-roster/adam-henry
  8. If this does become a trend, between this 'job' and being the 'football rules analyst' on game broadcasts, being an ex-ref is the sweetest gig in the world.
  9. That's interesting - didn't think of that. Nice if they are making ADA seats avail in 'good' seats. Can concur the ADA situation at Highmark is not good. There are a handful of spots at the top of the tunnels in lower bowl - then the rest is literally at the top of the upper deck. We've brought my Dad in a wheelchair the last few years - he can still walk short distances but for the long walks easier to wheel him in. Last year we had club level EZ, thinking we could take elevator to club level (which we've done before when we had seats in actual club) - but no - only way to access club level EZ was a bunch of stairs.
  10. What is up with the weird 'cut-out' sections on lower level scoreboard end. I can't think why they would have that extra aisle space at the expense of seats. Also I wonder what the red strip sections along the lenght of the middle are - are those sections with overhead heating I wonder? Seems like there's going to be a lot of areas to stand and watch - lower level EZ and possibly all the way around under upper level (depending how accurate picture is)
  11. Did they 'roast' him about the real extent of his cheating - not just jokey-joke deflategate but the whole systemic cheating that resulted in his and the Cheaters success - did they 'roast' him what a complete fraud he his. Couldn't make me watch this with a gun to my head.
  12. Man among children lol Pretty sure there's a hoop in the training facility - should fit right in there w/ 3 pt shooting and HORSE games (slam dunk contests?)
  13. The initial PC and behind the scenes video showed more the goofy/fun-loving side but this showed a little more of the earnestness and serious side of him I think (while still being engaging). That to me is going to be the interesting thing to see - how he shows that competive side - the dog in him. Could tell RG III was genuinely impressed by him and enjoying him. His relationship with Josh is going to be something very interesting to watch - could end up being special.
  14. And while you're worrying about covering all that size, also deal with Cook or Davis (maybe sometimes both) coming out of the backfield or lining up at receiver. As well as Samuel lining up everywhere and Shakir running around. I think Brady's offense is going to be about matchup nightmares.
  15. Curious to hear from locals what fans on Buffalo talk radio are saying about this pick - if there is a group with such strong negative feelings as on here. My brother went to FSU and watches all their games and he was really surprised when I mentioned the vocal negative contingent on here. As someone who saw all his games at FSU (some live) he said Coleman's the best FSU receiver he's ever seen in 30+ years watching the team, and believes he will "be a force"
  16. It's amazing to me the "BuT sLoW 40 TiMe!" crowd just keeps ignoring all this other data that shows his game speed is elite (and also ignore he ran 4.5 on his pro day)
  17. I dont think that was the case as much last year - or at least as the year wore on
  18. My son and I were just talking about this - it's not about replacing Diggs or Davis or finding a "true #1" - it's about having all kinds of options and the QB finding them. We literally were saying the same thing to each other - we could have no guys over 1000 but 4 guys with 800 yds.
  19. Thanks for this - so sick of hearing people (all upset) say we "gave them" Worthy when literally they gave us something for him. They were going to get him anyway - if anything the Bills should be praised for weakening a rivals draft capital for a player they didn't want
  20. I think receiver from the backfield is a big thing they were looking for. I think Brady's offense is going to be that every skill position on the field is going to be a potential target for Josh to spread the ball around vs just WRs (also I think why they don't seem to be as worried about the "true #1 WR" as much since everyone will be an option in some different way)
  21. My brother played in college and after and he always said the worst part was when some football player would come out and not know the game and blindside you with a block 😛
  22. Thanks for including some perspective. I'm not sure I would call it political per se, but with all the international promotion the league was/is doing they definitely wanted teams to take these guys - even if it was mostly a PR thing. On NFLN at the end of the draft where they are basically ignoring all the last picks they actually showed the pick on the stage like it was some big deal. The incentive to a team I guess is that you can carry them on an extra PS spot - I'm actually surprised there isn't more incentive given. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the league tries to grow this over time into trying to make more international players available (and possibly give more incentives to teams to pick one). Regardless of whether any have any shot at all of actually every playing, the league seems so determined to promote this international thing I could see it increasing.
  23. My favorite part is where he asks the reporter where do you think I got it and the reporter says "Tom Izzo?" - the initial incredulousness on his face is gold - then he doubles down after "Nah. Macy's" - "What do you mean?"
  24. It's like difference between Josh channeling Mose Schrute in his 40 at the combine vs what he actually does on the football field
  25. NFL humping the International angle so much they should throw in a comp pick too
