So many times I watched crappy Titans teams coached by him and they'd throw to a shot of the Neanderthal on the sideline and my immediate thought was always the same - "What a Meathead". Funny this got me thinking - I am polish and my name ends in -cki which I was always told is pronounced 'ski' in polish. I Googled and it said "The main difference is, ski is the suffix of the “schlachta”, the nobles, by birth. Cki is the suffix given for achievements, for example on battlefield given to non-nobles, not only of polish heritage." So I'll assume my ancestor was some badass who achieved his name on the battlefield

One thing I've been thinking with the talk of how they are willing to let teams run, is how a season full of opponents bludgeoning you in the run game might contribute to wear/injuries on defensive players

I was wondering about the surgeon who performed the surgery. Don't top arhletes normally pick one of the leading surgeons in the country do do their surgery- I assume in this case they needed to act swiftly, wonder if it was just whatever surgeon was on call or if they had more options to try to get at least a top local guy (especially since it seems like it was more complicated than a run of the mill ACL)

Some good discussion on this page on the defense. One of Babich's favorite lines in PCs this year as reason for defense not performing is some variation of "the rush is not in sync with the back end". It seems he says it every week. I don't know why he can't fix it. To go along with that, as has been mentioned, even when the play call is good (and presumably the 'rush is in sync with the back end'), guys are just missing tackles. After the Dolphins game I saw an analysis of a bunch of the 3rd and long plays that were given up and in each case the call worked perfectly (corner blitz, simulated pressure etc) and in each case some guy was right there to make the play and whiffed. One thing Babich and McD are always careful to do is never throw an individual under the bus and when asked about a play that later is revealed to be a simple poor individual tackle attempt etc they always describe as an 'execution' issue I'm also starting to get a little skeptical on Babich - esp when every week he says the same things about getting off the field on third down, gap integrity, 'rush in sync with back end'. My hope is that with people out and rookies playing etc the defense we are seeing now is not the one we will see at the end of the year and in the playoffs (one thing that gave me hope in preseason was Babich mentioning the defense needing to get off the field quick this year to get the ball in Josh's hands, which seemed to indicate a more aggressive approach - but we haven't seen it so far)

It was Bosa, and "hustling" is not exactly the description I would use - they even commented on it on the broadcast. The lack of hustle is what caused the TO - he took forever getting off the field which is what precipitated calling it. The fact that it was 'not needed' was more due to Rattler not being savvy enough to take advantage and hike the ball as Bosa was glacially getting off the field EDIT - actually they didn't use a TO on this play so ignore
