I didn't mention the rehearsal b/c I knew it's not for everyone - but I love it. HBO also has all the old Nathan For You eps which was the precursor. Anyone who is a Fielder fan should also check out The Curse (Paramount+ and Hulu now) which is full fielder crazy. The last episode might be the most crazy bonkers ending of any TV show I've ever seen.

The Wire is one of those shows that actually lives up to its hype as one of the best shows ever made imo. Other classics on there are Curb Your Enthusiasm and Veep. Would also recommend Barry. Succession is a more recent show that also got a lot of acclaim

In most recent Babich PC he was talking up Lewis. Someone asked about the difficulty of Hancock picking up two positions, and he basically said tough - 'your job is to know multiple positions in the NFL, this isn't a college roster, no excuses, figure it out, this is pro football' - and he said about Lewis 'Cam Lewis plays a lot of positions, he never makes an excuse, he wants to do everything right, and he works at it, and he's as tough as they come. What a great example for a guy (Hancock) that has to do multiple things, position versatility is going to add value to you. And here's a guy who all these things and he's sitting right next to you' The fact that Babich is calling out Lewis as someone Hancock can learn from and emulate shows how much ahead Lewis is at this point.

I was at this practice and saw some of the water bottle back and forth between tre and this kid and was wondering what was going on (missed how it started) - went on most of practice

IMO lack of discipline and good culture and strong leadership (starting with the HC) is also a big element with that team folding in cold weather and when things get tough

Such weird phrasing - after the first sentence I pictured a halfback option and Josh sprinting down the field past the D hauling in a 70-yd bomb from the RB with the crowd going bonkers and Hard Knocks crews falling over themselves to catch up

In the practices I went to last week all Wilkerson did was get open and catch everything thrown to him. He was running with the ones quite a bit - my brother at one point the first practice said "Who the hell is 82 that keeps catching the ball"

Actually 10's of thousands- including a majority of families with young kids who don't get to go to games and wanted nothing more than to see Josh. I'm always a pro-Bills guy but sitting Josh was such a tone-deaf decision. Inexplicable to me. Just stupefying. Even if he is on a pitch count roll him out there for 11-11 and have him throw a few bombs for the crowd. Just a crazy decision

G-damn watching Josh go around entire circumference of field throwing balls to mostly little kids in stands and watching them go ape-sh!t with joy is something

Yeah I was just thinking about that and was going to look it up. I remember reading articles that the technology for chip/GPS wouldn't be accurate enough with current technology, and visual like tennis would obviously be obscured by bodies. So after they showed it and I posted I wondered if it was just visual from where they spot like you said. What they really need to do is improve the technology to be able to use the chip

Yeah - I'm old enough to remember when the media narrative was how "unfair" it was that the Dolphins had so much team speed and they were guaranteed to just run past everyone to greatness

I went to last two practices, and one thing that was kind of strange was tues was way more physical a practice but they seemed to be letting almost all contact go - for a while it seemed the refs were there as props just for the ambiance. Today was way less energy and physicality and they threw way more flags. Not sure if there are different crews and they call it different, if they decide beforehand to have the refs call a certain way etc.. I said in the tues camp thread that it was definitely the most physical i ever saw Tre - he was really going after guys in coverage.

Random observations today's practice: - Beautiful mercifully cloudy and cool morning. Quite the contrast from the scorching heat last practice. Slight drizzle that stopped and rain never came (didn't need the zubaz poncho my wife randomly bought recently) - Potential future WR1 Gosnell on JUGS before practice - didn't drop one -Josh walks out of clubhouse with Buechele and White - Trubisky nowhere to be seen - maybe his fate is sealed - Shenault might have the thickest lower body of any receiver I've ever seen - Tre with the exercise band around his knees again when he came out - including even when he was playing D on the first walk thrus plays before stretching - During STs Cook with the TEs again with Boras firing passes at them - WRS going against air at goal line. Sadly no WR-DB 1-1 today - not sure if wet field had something to do with it - 7-7 end zone 1st team - Keon tough contested catch back corner with db draped all over him - Josh fires a missle bounces off receiver rapp might have got a piece - Josh threads td to Davidson at goal line - 11-11 at 35 yardline 1st team - Cook run up the middle 3 yds - Quick out Gilliam 5 yds - Davis stuff middle no where to go - Keon wide open TD left side - someone messed up, Damar closest and looking around at teammates after - Cook up middle short gain - D whistle sack multiple players in backfield - Davis nice cut back middle for long gain maybe td even live action - Gore stuffed rt side short gain - notable 2nd/3rd team reps - Wilkerson nice diving sideline catch - White held ground big pressure from Hoecht - Buff Joe bursts into gap and thumps Evans hard tfl - Haven't really focused on linemen but can confirm even unfocused Walker is huge - Offense and Defense separate walk thru / installation on opposite sides of field. Jackson has freakish long arms and legs - Half speed 11-11 for a while to end practice - Bishop on sideline in street clothes spent a lot of time with Rapp - seemed to be talking with him every time I noticed them. Lines up with reports they worked together all offseason - they seem pretty tight - He may fade into obscurity when everone comes back, but for a complete unknown, Wilkerson really was noticeable in a good way last two practices - Lot more runs this practice. Without full contact hard to really guage how well a lot of them would have fared live action - This practice was much more low energy and laid back (borderline boring) compared to Tues. Assume it was combination of wet field affecting what they did, break after recent hard practices in the heat,, and stadium practice tmrw.
